I just finished watching ‘Bodies’ and we have to agree on one thing:\n
\n
Timecrimes is the only proper time travel movie ever made.\n
\n
Spoilers below…\n
\n
Every other movie either tries to take time travel seriously (Primer, Minority report, Travelers) and fails by creating paradoxes or takes it lightly (Back to the future, Hot tub time machine, Groundhog day) and is not a real SciFi movie. Timecrimes is the only perfect loop and hence the only movie that avoid paradoxes. And what a loop at that. The reveal is just perfectly timed giving away each detail step by step. You basically figure it out together with the protagonist and watch him change his decisions as he realizes what’s going on. The loop is the entire point of the movie and that’s the only proper way to do it.\n
\n
Bodies was close but of course they had to add a happy ending there and break the loop in the last episode which was pretty weak.\n
\n
Timecrimes forever.\n
\n
That’s all I had to say. Thank you.

> After working on a bicycle or an engine, hands covered in grease, I can confirm that coffee does the job. Spent coffee grounds are gritty like sand so they work amazingly well to get the grease off. I use a bar of soap at the same time which causes coffee grounds to get embedded in the bar. It’s a good thing too because it always helps to have the soap bar a bit gritty.\n

Even though I’m back to leaving the house regularly the shower habit did not change. So my armpits get quite rank after a week. 💡 If coffee grounds have a deodorizing effect, why not use them on arm pits? I’ve not heard of anyone doing this but thought it’d be worth a test.\n

Normally I scrub with shower gel, rinse, & sniff. The first iteration is usually not enough… I have to repeat that process 2 or 3 times with shower gel to get the stink off. Coffee grounds worked on just one iteration. I think what happens is the deodorant is sticky & waxy which then gets coated with sweat then the sweat-loving bacteria. The abrasive grit from the coffee grounds scrapes the sticky waxy nasties away faster than soap can dissolve it.\n

+title: "VOTE: Potential "merger" of Lemmy World culinary communities."
+url: null
+body: """
Hello again,\n
\n
After getting some feedback on what we should do to help our culinary communities growth in the form of a potential “merger”, we have some options and would like each community to vote on the next step. This ballot will be posted and pinned on [!recipes](https://lemmy.world/c/recipes), [!food](https://lemmy.world/c/food), [!cooking](https://lemmy.world/c/cooking), and [!askculinary](https://lemmy.world/c/askculinary), as those are the communities we’re looking to combine. Below are comments corresponding to each vote decision.\n
\n
**Please vote by upvoting one of the comments below.** Downvotes will be ignored. This post will be left up for a week or until consensus is decided.\n
\n
---\n
\n
Additional info:\n
\n
If option 1 or 2 get picked, !cooking@lemmy.world will be a catch-all so to help organize, we will be implementing tagging posts. Since Lemmy does not have built in tagging yet, we will be requiring posts to be tagged in the title. For example a post title could be:\n
\n
```\n
\n
<span style="color:#323232;">[RECIPE] Beef Stroganoff\n
</span>\n
```\n
\n
or\n
\n
```\n
\n
<span style="color:#323232;">[QUESTION] If you had to eat only one culture's cuisine for the rest of your life, what would you choose?\n
</span>\n
```\n
\n
The community sidebar will have a list of all approved tags and we will be tweaking this as we go along. Tagging may be implemented on some communities regardless of merging or not.\n
\n
No matter which direction we go, the other more niche communities such as [!bbq](https://lemmy.world/c/bbq), [!sousvide](https://lemmy.world/c/sousvide), and [!koreanfood](https://lemmy.world/c/koreanfood) will be left as they are, though we encourage users to post in both !cooking as well as the more niche communities. (We are looking into possible automating this, but there are some obstacles to think about. If this becomes a possibility, we will pin a post to discuss this further) This should limit the amount of duplicate posts and if users still feel there are too many duplicates in their feeds, they can unsub from the niche community and still see the same content, that is if everyone takes part in posting to all relevant communities.\n
\n
[!FoodPorn](https://lemmy.world/c/foodporn) will remain it’s own thing as a showcase of food photos. The mods of that community will have final say on what gets posted there. Food photos are still encouraged in all other communities, but additional information may be needed depending on what community it is. See sidebars of each for content rules.

\n
```\n
\n
<span style="color:#323232;">[RECIPE] Beef Stroganoff\n
</span>\n
```\n
\n
or\n
\n
```\n
\n
<span style="color:#323232;">[QUESTION] If you had to eat only one culture's cuisine for the rest of your life, what would you choose?\n
</span>\n
```\n
