Hello,\n
\n
I’ve been using GNU/Linux as my primary operating system for several years. Every year, various websites release statistical reports on their users, detailing the operating systems they use.\n
\n
I’ve noticed that many privacy add-ons spoof the User Agent to make the browser appear as if it’s on Windows. Despite using GNU/Linux, my browser presents itself as if it were on Windows 10.\n
\n
My dilemma is whether I should switch the User Agent to Linux. By spoofing, I’m potentially decreasing the statistics for Linux in these regular reports, which might lead to Linux not being taken seriously due to a falsely low userbase.\n
\n
However, on the flip side, pretending to be on Windows helps reduce my web fingerprint. What are your thoughts on this?

This may not be a Linux specific problem as I had the exact same issue earlier with Windows 7 and it’s one of the reasons I installed Linux in the first place.\n
\n
The specific game I’m trying to play is DayZ but it may not be issue specific to this game. It worked flawlessly untill this point. I had made no changes to anything. Basically when I try to launch the game it starts loading up normally and then just apparently quits and the “Play” button goes back green. No error, no black screen, no freezing or anything. It just stops launching the game.\n
\n
\n
\n
I’ve tried checking the integrity of files, deleting downloads catche, disabling steam cloud, removing launch options… nothing. Almost like it gets blocked by firewall or something. However I feel like it may be an issue with steam itself or then it’s a hardware issue (I’ve got really old PC)\n
\n
Few things I’ve noticed that may or may not be related:\n
\n
- When opening up steam it almost always used to download some updates first and check the integrity of them or something. Now it doesn’t. It just opens up Steam. When I click “check for updates” it says everything is up to date.\n
- The firmware updater shows available updates for my SSD and HDD but no option to update. I also tried with `sudo fwupdmgr get-devices` but it says “UEFI firmware can not be updated in legacy BIOS mode See [github.com/fwupd/fwupd/…/PluginFlag:legacy-bios](https://github.com/fwupd/fwupd/wiki/PluginFlag:legacy-bios) for more information.”\n

I have a jellyfin instance running with radarr/sonarr/… for my media needs on my vps.\n
\n
Problem is that I don’t have huge amount of storages and I would like to expand the storage until I’m able to make a personal server ( I don’t have space where I live for even a mini pc rn ).\n
\n
From the options that I have been considering the contabo ( my vps provider ) storage expansion are quite costly so I have been thinking about hetzner storage boxes or a backblaze b2 bucket mounted with rclone/s3fs.\n
\n
The problem with backblaze is that I use hardlinks with my *arr suite so to save up on space so I’m not sure if I can mount them preserving the hard links.\n
\n
What would be your thought or reccomendation? Should I get a hetzner storage box and just mount it or is there anything else I could do until I manage to make my own personal server?

I have a jellyfin instance running with radarr/sonarr/… for my media needs on my vps.\n

From the options that I have been considering the contabo ( my vps provider ) storage expansion are quite costly so I have been thinking about hetzner storage boxes or a backblaze b2 bucket mounted with rclone/s3fs.\n

+title: "Working instructions for OpenRazer on Fedora Silverblue?"
+url: null
+body: """
Probably a longshot, but hoping anyone here might have working instructions on getting OpenRazer running under Fedora Silverblue. I recently picked up some Huntsman V2s and while OpenRGB works for basic control, I’d like to see what other options are available.\n
\n
Apparently there is a known incompatibility between Silverblue and how OpenRazer implements kernel modules ([link](https://github.com/openrazer/openrazer/issues/1747)). I’ve seen elsewhere that some users have tweaked the build files to work around this, but I couldn’t find any detailed info. Any help would be appreciated.\n
\n
EDIT:\n
\n
I got it working, but it wasn’t worth the trouble compared to simply running OpenRGB in a flatpak. For Razer keyboard users, you’ll gain one or two RGB presets over OpenRGB, such as Reactive, and the ability to adjust the polling rate (the merits of which are highly debatable). You’ll lose secure boot and kernel verification unless you also add the ublue repo and signing key rpm (`ublue-os-akmods-addons`).\n
\n
If anyone wants to do it anyway, I had success by downloading and installing the following [ublue-os akmod](https://github.com/ublue-os/akmods/pkgs/container/akmods) rpms from [here](https://download.copr.fedorainfracloud.org/results/ublue-os/akmods/fedora-39-x86_64/):\n
\n
- akmod-openrazer-100.0.0.git.530.886f986d-1.fc39.x86_64.rpm\n
- kmod-openrazer-100.0.0.git.530.886f986d-1.fc39.x86_64.rpm\n
- openrazer-kmod-common-100.0.0.git.530.886f986d-1.fc39.x86_64.rpm\n
\n
(Note: you might need to layer the `kernel-devel` package first; I had it layered already so I can’t confirm.)\n
\n
Add the openrazer repo, then install the daemon and frontend app:\n
\n
```\n
\n
<span style="color:#323232;">curl -o - https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/hardware:/razer/Fedora_$(rpm -E %fedora)/hardware:razer.repo | sudo tee /etc/yum.repos.d/razer.repo\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;">rpm-ostree install openrazer-meta razergenie\n
</span>\n
```\n
\n
Add the plugdev group to /etc/group, then add your user to it:\n
\n
```\n
\n
<span style="color:#323232;">sudo bash -c 'grep "plugdev" /lib/group >> /etc/group'\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;">sudo gpasswd -a $USER plugdev\n
</span>\n
```\n
\n
Finally, launch RazerGenie…\n

\n
```\n
\n
<span style="color:#323232;">curl -o - https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/hardware:/razer/Fedora_$(rpm -E %fedora)/hardware:razer.repo | sudo tee /etc/yum.repos.d/razer.repo\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;">rpm-ostree install openrazer-meta razergenie\n
</span>\n
```\n
\n
Add the plugdev group to /etc/group, then add your user to it:\n
\n
```\n
\n
<span style="color:#323232;">sudo bash -c 'grep "plugdev" /lib/group >> /etc/group'\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;">sudo gpasswd -a $USER plugdev\n
</span>\n
```\n
\n
Finally, launch RazerGenie…\n

1. When there is an error when trying to submit a title, the submit button changes and spins indefinitely. Ahoy! I would like to be able to browse movies in Kodi and directly add them to Radarr.\n
\n
Currently I’m using the *TheMovieDb Helper* Add-On in Kodi for browsing movies, and then add them to the Trakt Watchlist. In Radarr I’m monitoring the Watchlist and automatically add the movies that way.\n
\n
Is there a better way to do this? \n
For example, can I configure/use some special player in *TheMovieDb Helper* for adding the movies directly to Radarr or Ombi when I clilck Play? Or is there an other Add-on that does something like that out of the box?\n
\n
---\n
\n
UPDATE:\n
\n
I’m working on a plugin that can be used as a player for *TheMovieDb Helper*. But instead of actually playing anything, it uses the information to add the movie/show to Radar/Sonarr via the API.\n
\n
The PoC was successful, now I have to put everything neatly together.\n
\n
I’ll create a new post once the first version is out.

this is going to be my personal experience of making custom ublue image. hopefully you will learn something from it.\n

so first of all you have to decide which Desktop Environment you want to use. create a file and name it `Dockerfile`. and add the following line to the Dockerfile\n

HELP!!!\n
\n
I have three situations, all would be very helpful if I could manually update the mappings of individual files or albums. If this is the wrong sub/community, can you point me in the right directions?\n
\n
1. I have an album that i accidentally mapped to the wrong artist/album combination and now it won’t let me change it because I also tagged it, even renaming doesn’t help.\n
2. I have an album where the 1st and 6th song switched during the mapping/renaming/tagging process and now, even if I rename the files and retag them manually using id3, both lidarr and plex think they’re the wrong track\n
3. I have an album that’s not only a standalone album, but also a disc in a box set, I’d rather have it as part of the box set, but can’t figure out how to unmap/remap the album to move it to under the box set, when I have the rest of the box set already set up properly\n
\n
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

What is so difficult about just providing a decent service for a fair price? Why is plex like a decade ahead of the streaming UI’s? I’m trying to give you fucks money and you’re making it extremely difficult.
