I’ve been thinking about this recently and it’s one of those innocent sayings that are quite insensitive. Growing up I heard this quite a lot, usually in response to being shy about asking someone out.\n
\n
As an adult it’s hard to view this as an encouragement when the flip side is women dislike men with insecurities, women dislike men who feel vulnerable when putting themselves out there.\n
\n
I don’t believe any of the connotations that I skewed from the phrase but it’s better to suggest “women love a man who are brave enough to fail” as encouragement rather, if you want a basic encouragement.\n
\n
Just wanted to shar this somewhere appropriate

I really need to start organising things and a calendar on my PC where I could set up events would really help. No other fluff, quite literally just a program that shows me the current month and handles events, perhaps with like a notification function or something along these lines.\n
\n
Given how simple this would be I’d code one myself, but I haven’t got the time to do so at the moment, so I just wanted to ask if anyone’s able to recommend something similar to that.

Hi there, I’ve recently tried to use the Usenet and I am amazed how much stuff is on there and at which speeds it can be accessed. Yet… Readarr has been giving me a headache recently and I think this is due to some peculiarity of the Usenet.\n

It recently started downloading sources to many files with wild naming schemes at the end of the file like\n
\n
(2019).zip.vol31+32.par2 yEnc\n
\n
just to complain that it didn’t find any files in the download. Now I get that yEnc is some sort of cypher-format and since the files are usually under 10mb, I get that these are probably single chapter or something. Searching the Usenet by hand, I’ll usually find many parts of the same audio book with those numbers slapped onto them. Some don’t even follow consecutive numbering and contain vol3+79 or something.\n
\n
So: How am I supposed to download those and how am I supposed to teach Readarr how to handle them?

While many popular English language TV shows seem to be dubbed into other widely-spoken languages (looking for French, personally), the releases that include those audio tracks unfortunately often either have lower bitrates than their English-only counterparts (which only include subtitles for other languages) or only have one of several seasons that made its way from the scene to usenet or a torrent tracker. Therefore, to avoid needing to download two variants of the same content and merge the sought combination of their video/audio tracks, is there a simpler means of acquiring dubbed audio of movies and TV shows?\n
\n
Language-specific public trackers (Torrent911 and YGGTorrent for French) seem to be a reliable means of acquiring alternate releases of movies containing dubbed audio that otherwise are identical in length to the original English releases, making them mergeable, but they seem to be lacking in terms of dubbed releases for anything but the most popular movies and TV shows. Usenet fills the gaps somewhat, but as language-specific private torrent trackers seem hard to gain access to, I haven’t found a reliable source for most dubbed releases and dubbed audio tracks.
