There is an ongoing lawsuit taking place in India at the Delhi High Court, but its site ([working](https://dhc.nic.in/dhc_case_status_oj_list.asp?pno=1019626), [not working](https://delhihighcourt.nic.in/court/judegment_orders?pno=1019626)) has been down several times in the last months and the transcript of cases after 2023-09-02 are [“unavailable”](https://164.100.60.183/dhcqrydisp_o.asp?pn=198394&yr=2023).\n

Hi,\n
\n
I already have a good tool kit, drill, needle files etc, so I’m mainly looking for a kit that doesn’t needlessly double up on tools that I already have but I’m here for your advice so I’ll look at anything you recommend.\n
\n
Ideally the kit would have enough bits and pieces that I could store it and keep it for future punctures also, but I could just order a multiple of single use kits if that is what you’d recommend.\n
\n
Please let me know! Thanks.

Hi,\n
Thanks.

I guess I’m just looking for tips and a discussion as to how everyone plays their Pokémon game. I find that whenever I play through any Pokémon game, with the exp. share shared or not, I always over level one Pokémon. Not too much, at least not as bad as when I was a kid, but in my emerald game it got to the point where I had a grovyle in the second gym and my other three Pokémon were level 10 below. How do you maintain a balance? Again, I’m not a new player, I’ve been playing Pokémon for almost all my life and I’m 24, however I’ve always been bad at party management type games and I’ve been wanting your opinions/discussions on this topic.

I’m trying to connect a university ipad (air, usb 3 type c, not tb or lightning) to my laptop (Framework laptop, intel 12th gen) running Fedora workstation 39. On Windows, I used a nifty app called Duet Display. I just used a usb-c cable to plug the ipad into the laptop, launched the app on both devices, and windows would see an external monitor. Scaling and resolution worked fine, and latency wasn’t perfect, but was more than enough for a secondary display. With settings tweaked, artifacting was minimal.\n
\n
I know there are remote desktop protocols and apps, but I really want to avoid a wireless connection. Remote desktop over the internet is wasteful and unreliable, and as for local network, ,my university has some strict controls on its wifi network and I cannot reliably connect my devices. Even if I could, the reliability and latency are still bad.\n
\n
Duet over usb always worked and didn’t rely on a wireless connection, but it also is closed source and windows and mac only.\n
\n
From what I can see online, the best way for an ipad to display content from another device is going to be a remote desktop protocol as it does not directly accept video signals like HDMI-in. The ipad can also connect to a network over usb c/ethernet.\n
\n
It seems the best approach would be to create a local network on my PC and connect my ipad to it with the cable, and then use a remote desktop client on the ipad.\n
\n
Is this a good approach? If so, how exactly would I make the usb connection share a local network connection?\n
\n
Note I only want to connect the ipad to the laptop. I understand if the ipad will not connect to wifi while connected to ethernet, and I don’t need to share the internet connection with the ipad. My computer still needs to be connected to wifi/ethernet to access my university network, however.

I only want 2.5 form factor or smaller as my mother-in-law will be carrying it here when she comes to visit us on the city.\n

I’m not sure what the recommendation is. I’m not a millionaire, I’m just freelance. So, I’d like to minimize cost.

I always see new GTK apps popup on Flathub. I dont really care and think GTK looks fancy, although CSD suck a bit and they waste space and often functionality.\n
\n
But they work, are solid, and do what they should.\n

Qt on the other hand may seem more like a complex job to code with. I dont actually think so, but I heard especially writing rust with GTK is way better than with Qt.\n
\n
I like KDE a lot, and even though I am excited for Cosmic I think Qt is the better toolkit for many things and a lot of time. But Dolphin seems to suffer from memory safety issues all the time, as well as other projects.\n

Do you have experience in rust, using GTK or Qt? How do they compare?

Just a reminder that posts in the c/cooking community require the use of tags in titles until we get a ‘flair’ function to help organize and make browsing easier. Below is the information also found in the sidebar on how to tag. Thank you.\n
\n
---\n
\n
**Posts in this community must be food/cooking related and must have one of the “tags” below in the title.**\n
\n
We would like the use and number of tags to grow organically. For now, feel free to use a tag that isn’t listed if you think it makes sense to do so. We are encouraging using tags to help organize and make browsing easier. As time goes on and users get used to tagging, we may be more strict but for now please use your best judgement. We will ask you to add a tag if you forget and we reserve the right to remove posts that aren’t tagged after a time.\n
