Hi all,\n
\n
Well, my question is in the title of of post. :-)\n
\n
Does somebody know if there exists an easy sollution to share files to users (e.g. members of an organisation), based on the fact that the user is known in a SSO (authentik) ?\n
\n
I know nextcloud would be an option, but that would create a nextcloud account for all the users, … which is quite overkill for what is needed here.\n
\n
I know we can probably build something based on apache, PHP or so, … but if there would be a ready-to-use service for this, that would be nice. (and probably a lot more secure then what I would build myself :-) ).\n

Hey there, not sure if this is the right place to report bugs with the app… If not, I would be grateful if someone redirected me to the correct place.\n
\n
The only issue I have with the app since the dawn of lemmy is image flickering whenever I approach the end of the feed. As there are less and less posts left, the flickering intensifies. This applies to post images, community/user icons, URL previews etc.\n
\n
I’m having this issue on Samsung Galaxy A51, running Android 13 and One UI 5.1, and the latest version of the app (163). Will provide any additional info, if needed.

Hi everyone!\n
\n
I have fully setup my Nextcloud instance for a few years now together with OnlyOffice. I’m verry happy with it just that OnlyOffice can be a little slow with bigger documents.\n
\n
So i’m trying to get [Collabora Code Server](https://hub.docker.com/r/collabora/code/) working in docker compose together with [Language Tool](https://hub.docker.com/r/collabora/languagetool).\n
\n
Does someone has a working docker compose file with both Code Server and language tool? I can’t find any online. Thanks!

Hi everyone!\n

I have fully setup my Nextcloud instance for a few years now together with OnlyOffice. I’m verry happy with it just that OnlyOffice can be a little slow with bigger documents.\n

Does someone has a working docker compose file with both Code Server and language tool? I can’t find any online. Thanks!

Github has become more bloated, slower and more user-hostile with each update (just like all other big corp platforms). SPA navigation slow like hell, the “new” file viewer/browser is hardly usable in my opinion, code search does not work without login, etc. So are there any good alternative FE where the following work (read only mode is enough):\n
\n
- Basic git stuff like commits, branches, tags, etc\n
- File browser\n
- Code search\n
- Issues\n
- Pull requests\n
- Conversations\n
- Wiki\n

For file browsing and searching I know the [github1s](https://github1s.com/).

Hi there,\n
\n
I am pretty new to Linux, so apologies for any stupidly obvious answers I might miss; I have a Raspberry Pi with some self hosted stuff to use in my LAN - however I have recently decided to host a Gogs (git) server on there also (as well as a Wordpress server).\n
\n
Heres the issue - my Plex server is accessible from WAN, the Wordpress server is half working and the Gogs server is only accessible from LAN.\n
\n
Basically if I connect to the server with LAN IP it works, if I use WAN IP it doesnt (The server at IP is taking too long to respond). One weird thing I noticed is that the Wordpress server - if I try to go to that via WAN IP it doesn’t work, but if I go via the DNS it works fine.\n
\n
The Gogs server is using Docker, Wordpress just uses nginx. I have a static IP and have forwarded the correct ports on my router, I also have a new modem for fibre that I have not used before - not sure if that matters.\n
\n
I’m mostly focused on getting the Gogs server accessible from WAN, I’m not too fussed about Wordpress right now since that works via DNS anyway.\n
\n
Really appreciate any possible solutions you guys might know

Hi,\n
\n
In Spain (and probably other places in Europe) we’ve recently seen a deluge of cookie banners that offer you the option to reject tracking cookies for a fee. The regular GDPR forms are therefore slightly broken, as you get several options: accept, reject (which doesn’t work in most cases), and buy a subscription to reject. Consent-O-Matic, for example, is having a hard time. I don’t doubt it’ll get corrected in time, but I want to talk about something tangential.\n
\n
Cookie consent has (at least) two layers: the browser layer (where we might delete cookies, reject third party cookies, etc) and the site UI layer (where we’re presented with an option when we load the page). This means we can reject third-party cookies at the browser layer and then accept whatever form at the site UI layer.\n
\n
With the set up mentioned above, is there really any difference between accepting cookies and rejecting cookies? No tracking cookie are going to get installed in my computer anyway. This, combined with an ad blocker, makes the browsing experience exactly the same whether I accept or reject the cookie form. Is there anything I’m missing here?

I am planning on building my first DIY NAS and found this motherboard [BKHD 1264 NAS](https://www.bkipc.com/en/product/1264-NAS-MB.html).\n

\n
\n
You can buy it from AliExpress under the brand name “Topton”\n

It ticks all the boxes and is not that expensive. The only thing that looks sub par is the cooling. I am aiming for a silent build and these small fans aren’t exactly silent most of the time.\n

So I consider changing the heatsink to something more confidence-inspiring and relying on good case fans.\n

My question: Does anyone know where I can find heatsinks that might fit this mount??

Hey community,\n
\n
this is probably very specific but I try anyway:\n
\n
I am planning on building my first DIY NAS and found this motherboard [BKHD 1264 NAS](https://www.bkipc.com/en/product/1264-NAS-MB.html).\n
\n
\n
\n
You can buy it from AliExpress under the brand name “Topton”\n
\n
It ticks all the boxes and is not that expensive. The only thing that looks sub par is the cooling. I am aiming for a silent build and these small fans aren’t exactly silent most of the time.\n
\n
So I consider changing the heatsink to something more confidence-inspiring and relying on good case fans.\n
\n
My question: Does anyone know where I can find heatsinks that might fit this mount??

My current setup includes two 1440p monitors and a 4K TV . In the evening I use a script to switch off the monitors and use the TV. Due to the different resolutions, scaling is a problem. Both X11 and Wayland have their own problems.\n
\n
My setup: Arch, KDE, Nvidia RTX 2060 with proprietary NVIDIA drivers (edit: version 545.29.06), 2x 1440p 144Hz monitors (DP-0, DP-1), 1x 4K 60Hz TV via (HDMI-0)\n
\n
X11: Currently my procedure is as follows when I want to switch from monitors to my TV:\n
\n
1. I turn the TV on\n
2. I change the Global scale to 175% via the KDE GUI. (I haven’t found a command to implement in a script yet)\n
3. I use xrandr to switch to the TV only. `xrandr --output HDMI-0 --primary --mode 3840x2160 --pos 5120x0 --rotate normal --rate 60 --output DP-0 --off --output DP-1 --off `\n
\n
The monitors turn off, but the TV shows a black screen. After a restart the TV works and the scaling is correct. So far I haven’t found a way to change the scaling and switch to the TV without a restart.\n
\n
Oddly if I turn on all screens at the same time, it works. All of them show the desktop `xrandr --output HDMI-0 --mode 3840x2160 --pos 5120x0 --rotate normal --rate 60 --output DP-0 --primary --mode 2560x1440 --pos 0x1124 --rotate normal --output DP-1 --off --output DP-2 --mode 2560x1440 --pos 2560x1124 --rotate normal`However, when I use step 3 afterwards, the TV shows a black screen again.\n
\n
I tried to find solutions, but it’s hard to figure out, since I’m not sure if it’s a driver problem, KDE problem, …\n
\n
Wayland:\n
\n
- the max refresh rate for the TV is 30 Hz\n
- with the TV turned on the system freezes every few seconds for a second or two\n
\n
I haven’t tinkered with Wayland a lot. The freezes make it a no-go for now. X11 at least has a workaround, even though it’s a bit annoying.\n
\n
Even though I have used Linux for a while. I’m probably still considered a beginner, so any help would be appreciated.

There’s like a thousand games where there’s a playable cat, fox, dog, and/or bird, or an anthropomorphic version of such - either as the main character, or a playable one in a funny animal roster. But for skunks I don’t see any major new titles coming out as such.\n
\n
I know of Punky Skunk from 1990s, and Pine Seekers from 2010s which has skunks as the main playable characters, but not much else. Tooth and Tail also had a skunk class of unit, while Impossible Creatures had a skunk as a choice and thus let you fuse one with another animal as animal fusions is the main selling point of the game.\n
\n
Armello had a large roster, but it cut off before it added a skunk as a playable character and they’re so far relegated to a background character species - and it seems there’s only like one card that features one and that’s it. And they seem to be relegated to background characters at most in such games. Why is that?

I have a Shelly Dimmer2 flashed with Tasmota. It has two ‘switch’ inputs. I have the shelly installed behind a two-gang switch box with the two inputs connected to two different switches. But currently, if I flip either switch, the same light is flipped (the one connected to the output of the Shelly Dimmer)\n
\n
I thought I could disconnect one of the switch inputs, and use it to send an MQTT message to a different light in my HA config. Effectively using one Shelly device to convert two ‘dumb’ switches into smart ones.\n
\n
I have dug through the docs at Tasmota, and I can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. Am I using the wrong keywords?
