Fresh specimen of the fungus Scarlet elfcup (Sarcoscypha austriaca - Krulhaarkelkzwam), popping up in the Zaandam boranical garden during a modest cold snap. This species is found growing on fallen pieces of dead hardwood among mosses and leaf litter in damp habitats in winter and early spring. Hello everyone! I have another update to <https://clickstitch.app> that will aim to enhance how you manage your cross-stitch inventory.\n

The [inventory page](https://clickstitch.app/inventory) finally displays the colour of the thread! They are also searchable by their code or brand (currently DMC and Anchor threads are available):\n

However, the biggest change is the project page. Navigate to any project in [your dashboard](https://clickstitch.app/dashboard) and the app will calculate how many skeins are required for it and warn you if you are missing any:\n

Just make sure you have enough of the relevant skeins in your inventory and you’re good to go!\n

Hello everyone! I have another update to <https://clickstitch.app> that will aim to enhance how you manage your cross-stitch inventory.\n
\n
The [inventory page](https://clickstitch.app/inventory) finally displays the colour of the thread! They are also searchable by their code or brand (currently DMC and Anchor threads are available):\n
\n
\n
\n
However, the biggest change is the project page. Navigate to any project in [your dashboard](https://clickstitch.app/dashboard) and the app will calculate how many skeins are required for it and warn you if you are missing any:\n
\n
\n
\n
Just make sure you have enough of the relevant skeins in your inventory and you’re good to go!\n
\n
Feedback on bugs and features is always welcome! ❤️

Whenever I am using an X11 session or a XWayland window, there is a chance the keyboard will stop working (globally for X11, only in XWayland windows if session is Wayland) until the session is restarted.\n
\n
Nothing gets written in any log, the keyboard just stops getting registered in X11/Xwayland contexts. It will happen usually after heavy operations of the keyboard (like holding a shift key, or multiple buttons get pressed repeatedly or too quickly). It happens almost every time I play videogames, and happened only once during normal typing.\n
\n
Attaching an external keyboard doesn’t matter, as it will have the same synthoms.\n
\n
This is the only proper mention of my issue online [bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=274456](https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=274456)\n
\n
I am using a ASUS VivoBook Pro 15 N580VD laptop. Running Debian 12 and KDE Plasma. This is not a faulty keyboard, as doesn’t happen on Windows and in strict Wayland contexts.\n
\n
EXTRA info:\n
\n
I want to further add that the only keyboard that remains working in a full X11 environment is the Super key, that in KDE Plasma opens the application list (like Microsoft Windows).\n
\n
If it is known, here is a not full list of applications I was using when this was happening and what are they based on:\n
\n
> > Minecraft, Project Zomboid (Java GLFW)\n
\n
> > League of Legends, Palworld (Windows applications under Wine/Proton)\n
\n
> > Victoria 3, Crusader Kings 3 (Native Vulkan applications under, X11, they use XWayland on Wayland contexts)\n
\n
> > Libreoffice, CodeBlocks (Native WxWidgets applications)\n
\n
I have noticed playing Minecraft that the keyboard will stop working after **releasing** the key at the time it “decides to break”.

This was a privately made design that was proposed to the British military in WW2.\n
\n
It was first built on a custom chassis, then a second prototype built off the chassis of the Universal Carrier, upon which was an articulating section that would lay flat with it for cross country movement. The driver would be within this section, driving on his stomach. The section could then be raised, allowing a pair of Bren machineguns on the end to fire over cover.\n
\n
The design was not adopted.\n

+slug: "NixOS-neovim-plugins"
+title: "NixOS - neovim plugins"
+url: null
+body: """
Hello,\n
\n
The NixOS community has been great in helping me with my first steps in this distro. So I’ll ask again few neovim-related issues I couldn’t figure out after 3 days of search.\n
\n
First, let me tell you that I’m trying to import a working neovim setup from another distro. Then let’s see how I’ve configured neovim. I have this in my home.nix file:\n
\n
```\n
\n
<span style="color:#323232;">programs.neovim = {\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> enable = true;\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> withPython3 = true;\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> extraPython3Packages = (ps: with ps; [\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> pynvim\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> unidecode\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> black\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> isort\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> ]);\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> plugins = with pkgs.vimPlugins; [\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> { plugin = *plugin_name*;\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> type = "lua";\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> config = builtins.readFile *config_file_path*;\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> }\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> ...\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> ];\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;">};\n
</span>\n
```\n
\n
(my init.lua file is in the $HOME/.config/nvim folder)\n
\n
With that most of my plugins work. Most because few are troublesome. Let’s focus on three of them:\n
\n
1. I have pkgs.vimPlugins.nvim-comment installed but neovim reports that the command `CommentToggle` is not an editor command\n
2. I have pkgs.vimPlugins.nvim-treesitter installed but the command `TSInstall markdown` returns “could not create parser dir '/nix/store/…/nvim-treesitter/parser ': Vim:E739: read-only file system '”\n
3. I have pkgs.vimPlugins.mason-nvim and pkgs.vimPlugins.mason-lspconfig-nvim installed but runngin `checkhealth mason` returns few warnings:\n
\n
- mason.nvim is not the latest version (I use the unstable channel)\n
- pip: not available spawn: python3 failed with exit code 1 and signal 0. /run/current-system/sw/bin/python3: No module named pip (note that python3_host_prog and python3_host_prog pip are marked “OK”)\n
\n
Thanks again for your assistance.

Hello,\n
\n
```\n
\n
<span style="color:#323232;">programs.neovim = {\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> enable = true;\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> withPython3 = true;\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> extraPython3Packages = (ps: with ps; [\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> pynvim\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> unidecode\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> black\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> isort\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> ]);\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> plugins = with pkgs.vimPlugins; [\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> { plugin = *plugin_name*;\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> type = "lua";\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> config = builtins.readFile *config_file_path*;\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> }\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> ...\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;"> ];\n
</span><span style="color:#323232;">};\n
</span>\n
```\n
