            "content": "<p>Semi-related:<\/p>\n<p>I am, as of last year, completely banned from Ebay. No I cannot make a new account, according to the help person on the phone, they will just ban that account. It is a <em>permanent ban<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>It came as a complete shock to me since I hadn\u2019t used Ebay in literally years. Apparently there was a strange login from somewhere up in Nottingham that flew under my radar, but other than that no info.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve called them asking for more information on how to re-instate the account, and more importantly \u2013 what exactly I am supposed to have done to have been banned so harshly. Nothing, no answers, they just repeat verbatim the strange login from Nottingam, and that\u2019s it.  Their records do not go back more than a year apparently<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s nothing I can do about it. It\u2019s this weird Kafka-esque situation where I\u2019m being punished for a crime that no one can tell me about.<\/p>\n",
