Okay, so… I want to open with the observation that all the ships that have been attacked by the mysterious ship have been CGI.\n
\n
Lower Decks tends to default to 2D unless the ship either will get a lot of screen time (California Class, Shuttles), offer fan service (Titan, Voyager, DS9, Sovereign Class), or get into combat (Bird of Prey, Clump Ship, Sh’Val, Texas Class, Green vessel).\n
\n
Basically, Titmouse gets their money’s worth from CGI models, and will use 2D where otherwise practical.\n
\n
This season, as far as I can tell, all the attacked vessels have been CGI. Their screen time has all been extremely short. With the exception of the Bird of Prey (from 3 ships) all the attacked ships have been new to the series.\n
\n
That said, their on screen appearances could’ve easily been substituted with 2D illustrations. Most of the ships barely move, which is perfect for 2D, but they opted instead for more expensive CGI.\n
\n
Whatever McMahon has planned for these ships. it isn’t going to be small.\n
\n
---\n
\n
With that stated. When the mysterious ship reorients itself to attack position, I can’t help but feel like it looks kinda like a face. But humans are hard coded to see faces in things, so I didn’t think much of it.\n
\n
Then I saw the Bynar ship.\n
\n
The ‘nacelles’ on the ship connect to a hub in the back… and it looks to me like hinges. Like the nacelles could arbitrarily reorient themselves like a pair of thighs attached to a hip.\n
\n
Face. Hips. Legs.\n
\n
The mysterious ship can’t be stealing all these vessels for salvage. We’ve already seen that done with the Pakleds. The ship also can’t be interested in these ships for their intended purposes, since there’s nothing of substance that connects them all—beyond all having disgruntled lower deckers.\n
\n
I don’t know *why* they would do this, but I can’t shake the feeling the mysterious ship is attempting to build something akin to Voltron or the Megazord. A giant bipedal mech made of a bunch of other ships.\n
\n
Maybe the vertical Warbird is the torso. Maybe the Bird of Prey and the Orion ship are shoulder pads or feet. I don’t know.\n
\n
But I figured I’d bounce this idea off you guys and see if you could refute or add to this.

Hello Sailors,\n

So sadly my family still insists on using Netflix(for now), and with their recent restrictions you can only have one active TV at the time, unless the TVs are in the same home. I contacted the seller and they gave me a few to try but they haven’t worked.\n

My question is, will this be an issue in the future? Or does it depend on which settings are locked?\n

My question is, will this be an issue in the future? Or does it depend on which settings are locked?\n

I don’t really want to send it back unless it’s critical, as I have a lot of work to do and my previous laptop is moments away from death.

I purchased a second hand ThinkPad from an ebay outlet. When it arrived I wiped windows 10 from it and installed ubuntu with no issues. It runs perfect without any weird fixes needed. Hey all, ran into a weird issue with my Ubuntu server running qbittorrent-nox I can’t seem to figure out.\n
\n
When Qbittorrent is running, I can’t load some sites. How I discovered this was Jackett was failing tests to my trackers. Sometimes all trackers would fail, other times only a couple would.\n
\n
From the server I ran a curl to the tracker URLs and confirmed they were not loading.\n
\n
Pcap shows the TLS hello go out, but no response from the server.\n
\n
Once I kill the qbittorrent process, everything works.\n
\n
Wondering if anyone has any ideas or has seen this issue before.\n
\n
Things I’ve tried:\n
\n
- Disabled ipv6\n
- Changed Qbit UI port\n
- Paused Torrents\n
- re-installed openssl\n
- rebooted about 150 times and counting\n
\n
Qbit version is 4.5.5 Ubuntu 22.04.3 headless running on Esxi\n
\n
Appreciate any ideas!\n
\n
Edit: So after much frustration and some other weird things, restored to a previous snapshot and the issue seems to have resolved. Appreciate all the troubleshooting ideas and responses!

This is probably a dumb question but what is a better way to send a link to a song to friends without using Spotify? I don’t use Spotify anymore so I don’t like going back to that website just to copy a song link so people could hear it. I know I could send something like a YouTube link but I’m trying to degoogle so I wanted to see if there was an alternative? Can you send songs as last.fm links? Idk I just randomly thought about this and wanted to ask if I’m being weird or something Thanks in advance\n

So basically back to back dark shows.\n

I’ve already watched The Good Place, which nails what I’m describing, but it’s a little blunt with the sweetness, while I’ve watched some of Bee and Puppycat which seems like it’s closer to a nice middleground of sweet and real.\n

I want to give it another shot though, and I have settled on one of these three. I am an absolute beginner to linux and i’m a g*mer (laugh it up), so out of these which would be better? I don’t have too many preferences, I guess I would like to avoid CLI’s as much as possible but it’s not too much of a big deal. I could get used to it and learn the commands. +body: "Hi! You may be sick of these posts by now, but I have been having a very hard time selecting between three distros; that being OpenSUSE, Fedora, and Linux Mint. I have tried linux in the past, I did debian with cinnamon and ran into some issues, so I ended up sheepishly reinstalling windows and getting AME10. If you can give a bit of advice, that’d be great and I appreciate all of you! "
