I have a 3D printer and have a special filter that has two 24V blower fans that are connected in parallel. Unfortunately my printer doesn’t have the proper connectors for the fans. So if I purchase something like this [power jack adapter](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C61434H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1) I know the adapter is 12V not sure if that would make a difference. Anyway if I connect the female part of that adapter to the fan cables and plug in my laptop charger which is rated for 19v to 24V would that be ok?\n

If those adapters are fine, should I just purchase 12V blower fans instead?

\n
If those adapters are fine, should I just purchase 12V blower fans instead?

From looking at the LED bulb, I can tell you that it will not work very well in that flashlight.\n
\n
The reflector of the flashlight is built so light coming from a very small source (like the filament of an incandescent bulb) is directed forward in a focused beam. With the led bulb, light is coming from 10 different spots, none of them being in the focus point of the reflector. The result will be a spread out beam that won’t be bright over longer distances.\n
\n
The only type of LED bulb that could work is something like [this car replacement bulb](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005132525368.html) that keeps the light source to a relatively small spot. But I don’t think those are available in the size you need.

Some years ago, before LEDs were a thing, I bought an Ultrafire WF-500 Flashlight that features a Xeon light bulb. As you might imagine the bulb reached its lifetime and burned away.\n

Now a replacement bulb is available here [www.ebay.com/itm/321916301663](https://www.ebay.com/itm/321916301663) the thing is that it will cost me 35€ and for that price I could just buy a new LED flashlight.\n

\n
Now a replacement bulb is available here [www.ebay.com/itm/321916301663](https://www.ebay.com/itm/321916301663) the thing is that it will cost me 35€ and for that price I could just buy a new LED flashlight.\n
\n
Now I was considering trying to adapt a generic LED bulb like this one here [www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002419159094.html?mp=…](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002419159094.html?mp=1).\n
\n
Anyone else with this model of flashlight succeed at a similar mod? Any LED bulb recommendations? Or… is there any other source for the original bulb at a lower cost?\n

Now I was considering trying to adapt a generic LED bulb like this one here [www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002419159094.html?mp=…](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002419159094.html?mp=1).\n

Anyone else with this model of flashlight succeed at a similar mod? Any LED bulb recommendations? Or… is there any other source for the original bulb at a lower cost?\n

I want to power [this board](https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/RP2040-Touch-LCD-1.28) with a 14v battery. The board has a 1s battery connector that can power the board and read the voltage via ADC. Is there something I could place between the two to lower the voltage and still have a battery voltage reading? I would not be charging the battery through this. The usb port would not be open in the final product.\n
\n
My understanding is that voltage splitting with resistors is not recommended for powering. And a buck converter will only give constant voltage reading.

Do any of you have experienced good products for tinkering together with a 3 year old?\n
\n
I thought about something like a giant breadboard with simple connectors to switch on a light or play a sound or something.\n
\n
It doesn’t have to be too fancy, just sturdy and safe to play together with an adult.\n
\n
Thanks!

As a young child, I had a wooden board with a bunch of different light switches mounted to it. Nothing to tinker with, but I had a lot of fun with the physical sensation of switching them on and off. I think that’s all you can really ask for at that age.\n
\n
Later on, I enjoyed taking the switches apart, figuring out how they work and using them in my electronics projects.\n
\n
My point is, whatever you choose should be physically fun, even without understanding it. A few switches and maybe a blinking light can entertain a toddler for a long time. The tinkering can come later.
