Bonus points if it’s a laser printer, extra bonus points if the components for the printer can be 3D printed (with obvious exceptions).\n

I just want a good, wired, network printer for everyday crap that I can use once in a blue moon for stupid documents that someone wants me to print, sign, scan and send back to them because they haven’t figured out how to do e-signatures yet… And the odd extra thing I need to print. Every time I print it seems like I need to reinstall the printer or update something to make it work. I buy laser printers so the ink doesn’t dry out before I can use it. The whole thing is so damned frustrating. Also, bluntly, unless you’re doing photo work, never buy an inkjet. They’re cheap, and there’s a reason they’re cheap. Inkjet has better color representation, so photo printers should probably be inkjet, for everything else, do yourself a favor and buy a laser printer. Toner lasts much, much, longer.

- Instance-wide TOS: [legal.lemmy.world/tos/](https://legal.lemmy.world/tos/)\n
- Lemmy code of conduct: [join-lemmy.org/docs/code_of_conduct.html](https://join-lemmy.org/docs/code_of_conduct.html)::: :::spoiler 2. Be civil\n
- Understand the difference between a joke and an insult.\n
- Do not harrass or attack members of the community *for any reason*.\n
- Leave remarks of “peasantry” to the PCMR community. If you dislike an OS/service/application, attack the *thing* you dislike, not the individuals who use it. Some people may not have a choice.\n
- Bigotry will not be tolerated.\n
- These rules are somewhat loosened when the subject is a public figure. Still, do not attack their person or incite harrassment. :::\n
\n
3. Post Linux-related content- Including Unix and BSD. - Non-Linux content is acceptable as long as it makes a reference to Linux. For example, the poorly made mockery of `sudo` in Windows. - No porn. Even if you watch it on a Linux machine.\n
\n
:::spoiler 4. No recent reposts\n
\n
- Everybody uses Arch btw, can’t quit Vim, and wants to interject for a moment. You can stop now. :::\n
