If you don’t put Link in it and focus on side characters in a plot that happens in the Legend of Zelda setting, you have a chance for something more successful as a spin-off. You’ll still have people on the side shouting “Why didn’t they put link in it?” But if the movie is written and produced well, then isn’t much of an issue.\n

    Uhhh… I’m not so certain that this is something that will go over well as a live action movie. ESPECIALLY if they plan on having Link appear in it. Link is a silent protagonist primarily because it allows the player to easily project themselves into the position of the character. Meaning that every individual fan has their own specific idea of how link “should be.” Any deviation from that and… Well we know how gamers can be. If you don’t put Link in it and focus on side characters in a plot that happens in the Legend of Zelda setting, you have a chance for something more successful as a spin-off. You’ll still have people on the side shouting “Why didn’t they put link in it?” But if the movie is written and produced well, then isn’t much of an issue.\n
