Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word “Linux” in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.\n

Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. When you hit win + arrows to snap the currently focussed window to the left or right half of the screen, windows will present a dialogue to select a companion window for the other half of the screen from your other floating windows. Does anyone know how best to implement something like this? I tried a tiling WM like i3, but that’s a bit more… involved than what I’m looking for. Thanks!"

Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).\n
\n
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word “Linux” in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.\n
