Since every individual carries out any job to earn money, he practices prostitution to all intents and purposes. Selling your sex organ is no different than selling any other part of your body, like your voice, brain, muscles, and more, just to get money.
I don't think that selling your sexual organ is the same as selling another part, which is probably a big part of the distinction. If I were walking down the street and I saw a dude drop something heavy, I'd offer to help him gather it up and help get it to his car if it was nearby, for free, just to help out.
I would not offer to a dude on the street who, magically, I could tell never has sex and is in need of physical comfort, even for a significant sum of money. When I give away muscle usage, all I have to do is exert moderate force for a variable amount of time.
When I give away my sexual organ, I not only have to consent to having the sex, which can involve trauma, or potentially fatal disease risk, and just because I perform the act doesn't necessarily mean I entirely consented or wanted to, my need for money may override that discomfort. It also means I have to get naked for them, which is vulnerable and may also involve trauma or discomfort.
And sex isn't just that, it's also physical, I have to exert force, and it's also mental, most people expect some form of dirty talk, which is basically a skill, and the knowledge of different positions and when to change them, or the knowledge to know when to switch to and from oral or foreplay or penetrative sex.
Basically, sex at its best is extremely involved in many different ways that most other singular forms of work are not, or at least, not as simultaneously and intensely where if I wanna do my best just lifting something or stocking a shelf, is not even close to the same amount of emotional and mental duress on top of physical.
#1 Pets are like teenagers, they are gonna try to have sex without you knowing.
#2 I don’t think it’s healthy or ethical to keep an animal indoors 24/7. Even pet animals need unstructured (not unsupervised) time outside to have play and use their instinct beyond just taking them for a walk. I’d apply that equal to dogs and cats although it’s probably more important for dogs.
… What’s that? They said OPSEC? The fuck is an OPSEC? Some new part of the queer alphabet soup that I haven’t heard of?
Sorry, that little skit played out in my head after reading your reply. It’s a weird thing when your intrusive thoughts turn to shitposting. I feel like that person on a leash meme where the thing I’m trying to control is a coked up shitpost tulpa.
You’re talking as if women didn’t have sexual desires and…
I didn’t say they didn’t . I’m not sure why you would think that.
What about asexuals?
The overwhelming majority of men are neither gay nor asexual. My statement is generally correct.
What about men that have respect for their SO and don’t see sex as the final goal?
It’s either the final goal or its on the way there. Young men want sex. Sexual tension is a factor even if neither he nor she sees it as a likely thing. Failing to understand that is liable to lead to failing to apprehend human behavior which often makes no sense if we remove such tension. Men don’t just do things for love they do things for imaginary hypothetical love neither party believes will ever happen. Watch people interact sometime.
Also sex is fun but not some revelatory experience(but what do I know, Im just a lesbian, a group which famously has many more orgasms than average), eo not base your self esteem on having it or not having it.
It also isn’t a substitute for intimacy, which when I talk to people who are weird about not having sex, I see them conflate needing a hug or to express their feelings with having sex.
The Cathedral of Hope — an LGBTQ±affirming United Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas — has made a concerted effort to defend the queer community from “persecution,” as the state government targets drag queens and transgender people....
Affirming Christians don’t ignore it, but they also don’t need to treat it as a commandment as you seem to. If you read the start of the chapter, it’s talking about practices done by neighbouring communities as they worship their own gods. The instruction here is essentially to the Israelites to make themselves separate from that. It’s relevant to the time and their geography and it is not a code of sexual ethics. Furthermore, even though it’s easy to call it very clear, the verse you cite is not even talking about regular gay sex, and certainly not gay sex in a loving relationship. It’s referring to likely abusive gay sex with teenage boys.
Believing what I’ve just said is not an act of hypocracy, at worst it’s a well meaning misinterpretation. If someone were to pick and choose as you say, and be fine with tattoos (also covered in this section) but use this verse to be against homosexuality then that is hypocracy.
Furthermore, even though it’s easy to call it very clear, the verse you cite is not even talking about regular gay sex, and certainly not gay sex in a loving relationship. It’s referring to likely abusive gay sex with teenage boys.
So then why would it call for the abused boys’ death?
Everyone has something they can’t stop themselves from nerding out over - but often it’s hard to find people to talk to about it. So go ahead, share your interests, and tell us about them!
I live in the US. Sex, even just plain boring vanilla sex, is such a taboo topic. Everyone’s uncomfortable about it, and that sucks. I think it’s interesting, and fun, and there’s so many things to talk about from actual activities to social constructs and more.
Whenever it comes up, I nerd out the same way I would when talking about a game I am currently obsessing over.
Read the whole thing just for you. I think you need to read the whole thing yourself. But I’ll boil it down for you, it’s 1 psychologist opinion that you could word (leaves that even optional) to differentiate between sex and gender. However also points out, most psychologists, don’t see it that way.
How have you successfully gotten over a breakup? I did not end the relationship and it was the most significant of my life. I feel confused and trying to understand why. I’m not sleeping well and my anxiety has decided to resurface. I’m ruminating. I don’t have many people to go to about this. Please don’t say I will...
The best way to get over a breakup is to hook up with as many random people as possible. Take a couple nice pictures, set up a tinder/bumble/zoosk/hinge/badoo/whatever dating app you choose and just get out there and have a bunch of casual consensual sex. It’ll feel gross at first but just grit your teeth and power through because it’ll feel a lot better after a while
Brought to you by my discovery that some people think that “the customer is always right” isn’t the slogan of a long-dead department store, but rather it’s an actual call the cops law.
Ehhh, I think it’s probably more likely that you can’t discriminate on specific factors like age, religion, sex, skin colour, etc.
I just can’t see “most places” having laws that force you to deal with any and all aholes in customer service. Could I have a source on that, please? I have never heard of that before.
Honestly, nobody even looks at other people's Karma. I didn't care much about it. Did people really care so much baout Karma that they mourn about it here, or miss it, or used to farm it?...
Okay, it appears that I'm going to be the only dissenting opinion here.
The discussion around karma here is all centered on the SFW side of reddit, it appears. I used to operate on the NSFW side of reddit to find sexual partners. After I would make a post explaining the kind of connection I wanted to make, I would get like 150 offers over the course of 3 days, both over direct messages (orangered inbox) and chat requests (chattit).
I would only respond to users who had any sort of karma, post history, or more than just a few months on their account. My thought process was that I don't want to meet people who are 100% lurkers, I would favor people who had comment histories on normal subs and were contributing members in those communities (gave me hope they would be interesting conversationalists on the date), and I wanted to see some longevity in the account so that there was a clear sense of the decorum of old reddit versus all the sally-come-lately users.
ETA: I suspect that I was getting so many offers because I myself had made several submissions (lending to my own non-zero karma score) both text and photo and I had a long-standing account. I think I would have been viewed skeptically by everyone if my account was 3 days old and I had zero content, but was trawling for sex. That's how men show up with 2 kidneys but leave with 1 in the morning.
Once the battle is joined and a tactic is employed, it is important that the conflict not be carried on over too long a time. …There are many reasons of human experience arguing for this point. I cannot repeat too often that a conflict that drags on too long becomes a drag. The same universality applies for a tactic or for any other specific action.
Among the reasons is the simple fact that human beings can sustain an interest in a particular subject only over a limited period of time. The concentration, the emotional fervor, even the physical energy, a particular experience that is exciting, challenging, and inviting, can last just so long — this is true of the gamut of human behavior, from sex to conflict. After a period of time it becomes monotonous, repetitive, an emotional treadmill, and worse than anything else a bore. From the moment the tactician engages in conflict, his enemy is time.
BTW Alinsky (b.1909) wrote this book to try to stop baby boomers from being dumb and fouling everything up. I am not a huge fan of the intergenerational model of class conflict but I think it is interesting.
i hadnt really thought of it until now, and was kind of expecting lemmy/kbin to get infected with porn, but you state some great reasons. i want to be open that i have used porn subs in the past, and i think that porn should 100% be legal. every adult should have the right to express themselves as long as they are not infringing on someone else's rights or safety.
before onlyfans, /r/gonewild was actually pretty appealing. once the amateur porn scene took off, reddit porn subs became advertisements ("check the comments for my onlyfans 😜🍑") and spam bots reposting other people's porn. i really would prefer to avoid that. if someone wants porn, they can go back to reddit or whatever porn dedicated site there is.
btw, i knew a girl who ran one of her own onlyfans-type things. i know it's annecdotal so my one experience isn't representative, but she ruined it for me. that girl was complete trash. she still lived with her parents at 24 years old with no ambition other than to live off of others. she proudly stated this. she didn't work. she had multiple sugar daddies that would financially support her while she would insult them and her customers behind their backs openly to anyone that would listen to her garbage. she had multiple separate ig accounts, each dedicated to a sugar daddy. she would then friend her real friends to show off the "losers" that would support her. the rest of her sisters, while not as bad, were near the same level of toxicity: highly predatory, psychopathically manipulative, and vindictive af. they shared the same social circle that was all the same crap. i fully expect to see at least one of them in the news or jail blotter eventually. i ended up blocking them all on all avenues of communication and recorded me on video telling them that they arent allowed on my property. i also created a highly detailed journal of our interactions, recorded conversations, and kept evidence in case they ever felt like attacking me for setting boundaries.
anyway, in my experience, the persona we see them display on the internet is fake. they're not some horny person just dying for some internet stranger to hook up with. theyre not a victim of the circumstances theyre trying to escape. they don't get turned on by being "slutty" just for you. they get turned on by the power to manipulate others at other's expense. that their real kink: abuse. it becomes disgusting.
again, i know not all online sex workers are this way, and there are certainly the fantastical pornstars and couple's that aren't terrible people but some definitely are horrible and we dont actually know which one is which because the public gets a false presentation of who they really are.
thanks for attending my ted talk. ill have a spicy chicken sandwich pls.

What movie did you rewatch most often?
For me, it’s either the Matrix or Pulp Fiction. I have seen both a lot of times but certainly not more often than say a dozen times.
