Why would I put in the extra effort? How much time have I saved by not adding in that extra line in my 40+years of life?

How much more will I save in the next 40+ (less, of course, since computers will be the main source of 7s, whereas most of my 7s in the first 40 were in my youth before computers were commonplace, and I hope I don’t live that fucking long)?

Start by talking about your wages. Most people won’t even do that, for fear of reprisals. Even though it’s protected federally.

Casually bringing up support for unions, and those on strike.

This is base level, and in many places, will take a long time to see movement.

-Raw is perfectly fine for most veggies.
-Steaming is an easy method, if raw is unpleasant or if the veggie is more woody.
-Blanche and shock make a cooked veggie divine!
-Sauteed (with plenty of butter) until fork tender on the stove top also helps.
-Baking on a sheet tray, covered in olive oil and salt / pepper make a lot of veggies shine

The main issue with all of those is understanding cook times, which takes trial and error.

Blanche and shock are the only way I actually like asparagus.

I can tolerate a baked or sauteed spear, but the margin for error is too damned small, and either side of it makes it unpalatable.

I prefer Xmas to just be year round, without the concentrated music.

Just dilute it. I don’t care when it’s in stores. I care that it’s beat into your head for a couple months and then poofs, only to come again next year.

Also, stop making egg nog only around Xmas! I want it year round as well!
