If your friend ends up not liking the GNOME desktop environment because it’s so radically different from the Windows UI, then maybe add the K in Ubuntu, I guess.

I just watched Junior Eurovision last Sunday.

I have to say, Fia (the German representative) had the song with the best message, and I liked her backstory a lot. The song she submitted is called “Ohne Worte” (translation: without words).

She also participated in the Voice Germany.

Get a Slimbook. They’re good laptops, and they let you choose which Linux distro is installed out the box.

There’s even a KDE version if their Plasma desktop environment is your cup of tea.

Mandatory programming socks

Why do people hate on mobile games, call them "not real games" and mock them, when some mobile-exclusive games are the best games I've played?

The Infinity Blade or Minigore series, for example, or anything made by Illusion Labs. These games are genius and most consoles don’t even have a touch screen or utilise it well like some smartphone games do....

Sometimes when I install applications through the command line interface, the applications I installed don’t end up opening. I’m not sure why.

I guess that’s a bonus.

But being forced to use a terminal to do anything is kinda hard to deal with if you’re not a developer. I’m probably guessing this didn’t bother you that much.

I was trying to run applications on it, similar to their Windows Subsystem for Android that they released as an update to Windows 11. I have to say, the latter is significantly easier to deal with imo.
