I can only imagine NileRed putting this in his box of radioactive watch hands

Who knows?

Here’s what it looks like in Morocco:

Somehow we prefer using the Apple more than the Penguin.

Sad

You’re the first person I know that uses FreeBSD.

It doesn’t really feel like Linux if you ask me. It’s not even open source, since Google controls everything. You could run Linux apps on it with a special mode I guess, but what bugs me is that they call Linux a “feature” when it’s absolutely not that at all.

But really, not a single soul in Morocco has even heard of Chrome OS. And even then, they’re gonna hate it.

What's an alternative to Spotify that doesn't play you the same fucking songs over and over?

I am in an intense love-hate relationship with Spotify. It makes good mixes for me, I have found a lot of great bands that way. BUT IT KEEPS REGURGITATING THE SAME SONGS IN THERE. I know about Song Radios and Artist Radios, so please don’t recommend those. Smart Shuttle doesn’t cut it, either....

It’s also got actual radio stations. This is how I found out about Studio Brussel.

Try turning this into an emoji, Apple. Oh wait, you can’t, because I made it up. (Idea may be thought of by someone else before)

“Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise”

You do realise that people who are awake during the night are of equal importance, who’s gonna run those power plants and radio stations and petrol service stations and police forces and whatever else? If they shut off during the night, there’d be chaos. At least a chaos that most folks won’t see because they’re asleep or something.

Oh.

Resol,
@Resol@lemmy.world avatar

I’m probably guessing that SOME night people are healthy, wealthy and wise. Huge emphasis on the word “some”.

Fair point

Good for you

I never played them so I can’t have an opinion on them

I still have yet to figure out why nobody does remakes like HeartGold and SoulSilver anymore.

Resol,
@Resol@lemmy.world avatar

These are considered to be the best Pokémon remakes of all time, which were released in 2009 (approximately 10 years after the original Gold and Silver releases for the Game Boy)

When I look at modern remakes of films, video games, sometimes even TV shows, it just seems that all the magic is somehow sucked out of it. I never understood why.

I’ve seen people talk shit about modern Nintendo games as well. Some people even referred to Scarlet and Violet as a “buggy mess”. I’m probably guessing they’re playing Red and Green (the first Japanese release of the series) instead.

History repeats itself: the Titanium version of the PowerBook G4 was also prone to basically falling apart, now the iPhone 15 Pro does the same thing

I’ve seen better designs. But I’ve also seen worse designs. This is pretty meh.

And I was gonna try out KDE anyway.

Let that be a lesson: don’t throw away your old computers

Resol,
@Resol@lemmy.world avatar

That’s actually kinda awesome.

Windows XP: when you buy your computer yesterday it’s still too old for Vista.

I wonder why the stopped using letter prefixes for new flavors. “Ubuntu Budgie” sounds kinda lame for a great flavor of Ubuntu.
