Seasoned_Greetings,

The Dollop did a podcast on Jade Helm as it was happening. Definitely recommend listening to that one if you like American history podcasts. It’s episode 100 I believe

Seasoned_Greetings,

People on reddit genuinely don’t know because the L word gets the ban hammer there

Seasoned_Greetings,

No ads whatsoever on voyager. Maybe give that a shot?

Seasoned_Greetings,

That sentence doesn’t make sense addressed to people in general. No one says, “I didn’t mean to antagonize you” to a large group of undefined people. Antagonize is pretty specific to a single subject.

Also, what clarification? The only response you made was to dutifully inform me that my challenge to your logic was beneath replying to.

Lastly, it’s pretty clear what you were trying to say. That if only people realized that being un-American isn’t the end of the world, maybe systemic changes could start happening.

What I’m saying to you is, about 150 million of us are so brainwashed and vehemently against opening their minds to that sort of change that they regularly float the idea of rounding up the rest of us to execute.

That’s what our media does to us. And by “media”, I don’t mean the boogie man you decided that I meant, I mean conservative outlets like Fox News that captivate millions of our population and constantly send the message that the people actually trying to change things are evil and corrupt. That advocate for locking up the poor and shooting the protesters.

If you really think that can be overcome by a plurality of us “asking ourselves the hard questions”, you’re woefully naive about the actual situation.

If you want to paint me as the type to be offended at a perceived slight, understand that the slight in question is proposing an overly simplistic solution to a gargantuanly complex problem half a century in the making like we just “forgot” we can change the system.

Seasoned_Greetings,

Likewise.

I’m no expert, but I always thought the American brand “conservative” stood for “fiscal conservative”, as in, to save money by limiting government spending.

That definition lines up well with their actual policies which tend to be cutting government spending, tax cuts, downsizing government jobs, etc.

Not really conserving traditions. Although there’s plenty of that in their cultural identity.

Edit: to be clear, the party has long since moved past being actually conservative. The most accurate description they might have now would be the party of spite.

Seasoned_Greetings,

I know I’m going to be in the minority here, but I’ve been on a carbonated flavored water kick for a few years after I realized sugar was killing me. It was a two fold realization that I just really enjoy the fizz and not the sugar.

That said, Polar seltzer-ade with lemon or lime juice is just 🤌 if you’re into carbonated waters

There are plenty of neonazis on our police force.

Azov has 900-2500 total members and are recognized as local militia only. In no way is supplying Ukraine’s military equivalent to “giving Azov weapons” unless you explicitly want a reason to justify killing Ukrainians.

Want to guess how many police officers we have nation wide here? Or maybe you have another whataboutism for me?

Seasoned_Greetings,

Ah yes, the sign of an intellectual: ignore points you don’t agree with and call the other person a nazi.

The numbers are there. You are a Russian apologist content with seeing 45 million people lose their homes because of 2,500 shit bags.

Enjoy siding with the war criminals.

Seasoned_Greetings,

What I’ve read so far about each of those cases is that nato was deployed to either halt a genocide or suppress a terrorist organization. Both of those things are still defensive actions.

Though I guess they could be interpreted as aggressive by countries that are pro-genocide and pro-terrorism, so it makes perfect sense that a Russia/China instance would be pissing themselves.

Your fears are based in the aggressive nature of the countries you simp for, so do carry on. Nothing I say is going to convince you one way or the other if you’re already eating the propaganda cereal.

Seasoned_Greetings,

Russian propaganda painting Azov as all 45 million people in Ukraine when in reality they represent a percent of a percent.

It’s like saying we should invade the US because some of them are self professed neonazis. Absolutely bonkers unless you wanted to fabricate a reason to invade in the first place

Seasoned_Greetings,

Jsyk. You don’t kill the cat because it has fleas. Unless you were looking for a reason to kill the cat in the first place.

Caring about the cat doesn’t equate to defending the fleas unless your goal is to get rid of the cat.

I know this doesn’t matter to you, because you’ve already attached your identity to the Russian genocide justification. But someone has to advocate for the other 44.995 million of them. It’s clear you’d rather them dead.

Anyway, enjoy being blocked. I have no more time to give to a genocide sympathizer.

Seasoned_Greetings,

NATO is a defense agreement. I know I’m on a Russian-apologist instance, but you guys are huffing Russian glue every time you parrot the propaganda of NATO being a threat to Russia.

By definition, NATO is only a threat to Russia if Russia threatens to expand, full stop.

Seasoned_Greetings,

I call names because I’m mad and can’t let it go but have no other argument

Yeah buddy, I know

Seasoned_Greetings,

Are you saying you can’t? Are you maybe saying that the only sources you have are Russian propaganda? Or are you just being condescending because you can get away with it on a Russian sympathizing instance?

Seasoned_Greetings,

Btw, I still won’t reply and can’t see yours, but I just wanted you to know I think it’s cute that you’re compulsively down voting my comments. It’s the sign of someone with no other recourse lol

Seasoned_Greetings,

Want to share a source on that? Or are you making shit up?

Seasoned_Greetings,

No, I didn’t. But you don’t want to hear that because the only way your bloody justification works is if everyone is a nazi sympathizer.

Keep your fingers in your ears. You are insignificant

Seasoned_Greetings,

Good men like Jon don’t seek that kind of power. They don’t want it. That’s why it’s only ever assholes that get it.

You have to step on people to make it up the ladder as a politician. Jon Stewart is not that man.

Go watch the show VEEP and look at literally any character that has some amount of power. It’s a pretty good look at the kind of person you have to be at that level of government.

Seasoned_Greetings,

The animation was raw and unrefined but the story was ahead of its time

Seasoned_Greetings,

*Guerilla Marketing

I forget they’re separate words

Seasoned_Greetings, (edited )

I know this is a joke, but advertising doesn’t try to make you buy something immediately. The goal of all advertising is to put the brand name into your memory, because when you do want something, you are statistically more likely to make a decision to buy from a brand you recognize or have seen more recently. It’s a subconscious thing.

Like, if you did go to the store for chocolate, seeing m&ms in an ad shortly before increases the likelihood you will choose that over some other chocolate you haven’t heard of or know of but don’t hear often.

That being said, this absolutely is a type of ad for m&ms, called gorilla marketing, where product names are present in otherwise unrelated content. Though it may not be intentionally placed by Mars themselves, it’s still a type of ad.

Seasoned_Greetings,

For what it’s worth, this isn’t the original comic. In the original, the last panel said “because blue m&ms come with nuts” insinuating she’s got a dick. You can even see the bulge in the first panel. It’s a little vulgar for a company to commission directly. But it still could have been

Seasoned_Greetings,

On the topic of utilizing Gale (or Wyll): The spell Cloud of Daggers is pretty useful early on with a bit of positioning. It won’t get you singlehandedly through every fight, but you can make lots of fights easier by casting that spell in a choke point and forcing enemies to walk into it to get you.

Bonus points if you can upcast, more bonus if you position your paladin or cleric on the other side of the cloud to keep enemies in it or push them back in once they’re through it. Ranged enemies will move into it if they can’t see their targets, so hide your party arong corners to lure them in.

If you have gale and wyll, you can get two clouds going.

This is a bit off topic because you don’t use her. But there’s a javelin build with karlach that carried me from early act 1 a good ways through act 3. Theoretically should work on any strength character, but best with a barbarian:

Subclass her into the frenzy barbarian. Take tavern brawler as your feat. Find the ring of flinging from the merchant in the Grove.

The javelin base damage is 1d6 + str damage, ring of flinging adds 1d4, and tavern brawler adds your strength again to the attack roll and damage roll. Plus the feat gives +1 str to bump karlach up to 18(+4 modifier).

Then, frenzy allows you to throw a second (and later third) javelin with your bonus action.

Each hit tends to have 95% chance, has considerable range, and reliably puts out about 15/hit with the potential to hit like 28 Twice per turn.

The frenzy hit also has a good chance to knock your target prone for that extra salt.

Then you can buy the pike of returning from the goblin merchant (must be before you agro them) to automatically get it back after you throw it so you don’t need a ton of javelins. And you can also collect the gloves of uninhibited kushido from the myconid colony to bump the damage up even more.

Casting enlarge on her helps with that damage output, as well as an elixer of the Hill giant, or anything that bumps str up more.
