How does Usenet content not immediately get DMCA'd into oblivion?

For instance, say I search for “The Dark Knight” on my Usenet indexer. It returns to me a list of uploads and where to get them via my Usenet provider. I can then download them, stitch them together, and verify that it is, indeed, The Dark Knight. All of this costs only a few dollars a month for me....

Compressed into a set of small archives, then each one is posted.

Usually par files are included so you can regenerate a few missing archives. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parchive

That’s correct, but it still irks me.

Controlling what your users see via defederation or blocking a community is public, but users aren’t going to notice the occasional post disappearing.

It’s manipulative in a non obvious way, and prone to being abused.

How do I see what pid/process has modified a linux routing table?

Anyone know how to see what pid/process has modified a linux routing table (specifically on Ubuntu )? I have an interesting problem where a route that I have created has been deleted over time, but can’t figure out what. I’ve tried rtmon but seems to only show timestamps of the adds/deletes

I don’t think any historical data would exist, but you could probably watch changes with ftrace

Mine costs me $10/month in electricity. Not getting a gym membership for that

No but it’s better than nothing.

Get an electric toothbrush. Don’t push hard, just slowly move it and hold it gently against your teeth / gums in each spot.

If you hate flossing like I do, a waterpik is helpful.

Brush twice a day.

Don’t rinse after brushing like you said.

how similar are other North American countries to USA??

I mean the other 2 countries, Canada and Mexico, how similar are both of them to United States?? Both countries have a similar economy and democracy etc, and I think those two countries share things like supermarkets, stores, etc. I suppose the cultural differences are not a lot, that is very nice.

You know Oklahoma doesn’t border Canada right?

You can give it anything up to 60v or something like that. I just used a spare 24v PSU, but that means it can’t output more than 23v.

I currently own the 6a model but need more and super happy with it, so I have the larger model linked above on order. I haven’t figured out what to power it with yet, I’ll probably just find some cheap PSU on amazon.

They give you data logging, and will even graph consumption on the display live.

I designed a mount to put it on my pegboard

Just to throw another option out there for people looking:

I use a separate power supply mounted underneath my desk to drive it, so the presence on top of my desk is minimal. They have some rated for lower amps if you want to save a bit of money.

This must be a regional thing. I’ve never heard of this. The sewers are still further down than my parents basement.

Do you have some sort of poop rated pump?

That’s how all hot water heaters work. His just uses natural gas instead of electricity.

What VPN do you use and why?

If you are a pirate VPN is an essential tool. I am trying to ascertain the popularity of various VPNs in piracy community. In this excerise, I will list several Popular VPNs in the comment if you use one of them just upvote that comment and reply the reason. That’s because you’re in Canada. We don’t need to worry like Americans can. It’s not really necessary for us.

Or they’re a tool to give the employee some quantifiable and measurable areas they need to improve on. This way both sides are clear of expectations and there’s no surprises.

Not all bosses suck. I’ve had to put a few people on them and they’ve helped, never had to fire someone afterwards.

This 100%. If you’re at the point where a PIP is happening, the employee shouldn’t be surprised by it.

Also, “cutscene”. How out of date can they be?

    You mean communities, not instances.

Just make one and be the change you want to see. You can always give someone else mod later.

Which gadget makes your life better?

For me, it's a bidet toilet seat. I bought one that didn't really fit as well as I hoped, so now I am shopping for a v2 based on experience. I don't want to live without one going forward. That's for sure.
