I hope someday we'll find a way to pirated a car (lemmy.world)

In the end, the KIA car company made its cars into subscription models, I really hate this because in the end the car we buy with our own money doesn’t feel like it belongs to us. Should we finally buy an old school car ? so as not to be affected by this subscription models or is there a way to crack the software installed in...

locuester,

It’s for office workers or inner city dwellers in cold regions. They can start their car which is in the parking garage blocks away. It makes sense and it costs money to run.

Theres nothing wrong at all with this. At all. Image is FUD

The video shows the fob starting the car. It also states that you can pay for the app to be able to do it anywhere.

It’s not a promo video, it’s a “how to” for car owners.

Are we not to believe that it really does that?

What is this internet thing for if I can’t find information? Do I have to drive to a car dealership and ask to find out if this is true? Do I need to see it in action? When I do, can you even trust my answer?

locuester,

Yeah, I worked with an albino like that who used a handheld magnifying glass. It actually inspired me to write a magnifier application for windows (which didn’t have one at the time, this was in 2006). That then led me to write little windows apps every day for a month, which got a lot of attention.

locuester,

I’m failing to draw a connection between what OP said about his friend, and the rant you wrote.

locuester,

I was assuming that software wasn’t used at work. Anyhow, cool rant

locuester,

Huh? I’ve been a premium user for years. Haven’t seen an ad in a video in forever. Not sure what op is showing but looks like a little one time notification of a new feature. If I saw I’d have closed and never seen again.

locuester,

Oh sure I see those ads that are directly benefitting a content creator. I can skip or listen to those

Are movie and show file sizes more efficient than they were years ago?

This may be a stupid question, but I just got back into pirating some shows and movies and realize that many of the QxR files are much smaller than what I downloaded in the past. Is it likely that I am sacrificing a noticeable amount of quality if I replace my files with the smaller QxR ones?...

locuester,

Never seen one in the US. Also in the US, 10% or so don’t even close right. Plus a 30 cm gap on the bottom and a half cm gap on both sides of the door.

It’s only an illusion of privacy; anyone can look through the door or under the stall.
