otherbarry,

Ah I remember that one, that AI image looked just like one of those weird t-shirt spam posts LOL.

That aside not quite sure what position this community takes on AI generated posts. Personally I’m here for the normal memes so I’d probably unsub if it was flooded with AI posts, but just a random post once in a while isn’t a big deal. For what it’s worth there are definitely communities around that cater to AI image posts, you could try one of those instead.

It’s a waiting game, unfortunately that’s how viral infections & their symptoms work. It could be a few days, a few weeks, a few months… and yes could even be a few years. And for some people the lingering symptoms due to a viral infection never really go away.

For what it’s worth the people I know that have lost their sense of taste due to covid regained it after a few weeks/months.

I haven’t been following any specific method, just a budgeting spreadsheet that has evolved over time - though my own method works out similar to the “Pay yourself first” method mentioned in that link. Basically a spreadsheet with columns for each month & the rows document required expenses/bills, then savings goals, then slightly less-required expenses & discretionary spending. Some people do similar using “buckets” of spending goals & that works too.

Been doing it for a while so at this point already know my expected monthly/yearly costs & even have a year out projection of where the savings goals will land at the end of 2024. Of course keep in mind life happens, no amount of budgeting will get you out of surprises. It’s always best to have emergency savings.

For what it’s worth spending flowchart from the Personal Finance communities helps out a ton when planning things out e.g. lemmy.ml/post/1161162 from !personalfinance

EDIT: Speaking of the other communities you may want to visit !personalfinance / !personalfinance while you’re on this topic :)

Rarely/never ketchup. I only eat that stuff if a friend or someone already put it on a plate/dish being served to me without asking first.

Mayo & mustard are both awesome depending on what they’re being put on. And sometimes they team up & can be used together e.g. they work well together in tuna.

PS - You should throw butter in the competition, a lot of people would vote for that over mayo :)

otherbarry,

To be fair the early Fear seasons weren’t too bad, the only real complaint I had back then was that they barely spent any time exploring the early days of the zombie breakout. It’s like they noped out of the LA area & immediately settled into the slower story mode that mid-season TWD was already in. IMO Black Summer (a different zombie series) did the early stuff right, just about every episode in the first season was tense & they lost people most episodes, I can’t remember for sure but it seemed like most of the original cast was gone by the end of the first season alone.

But to answer your question maybe the Van Helsing series? They had a similar arc like Fear, first few seasons were amazing (probably better than Fear) but wow by the time they made it to the last season the writing was at about the same level of Fear.

otherbarry,

The old Adult Swim series are fun to rewatch. Sealab 2021 and Aqua Teen still hold up!

otherbarry,

For new equipment you may want to make sure it is Windows 11 compatible otherwise your Windows 10 laptop only has about 2 years worth of updates left learn.microsoft.com/…/windows-10-home-and-pro

Alternatively could be good time to look into installing Linux.
