victorz,

Haven’t run into a game yet that doesn’t run on Linux when using Proton. 👌

victorz,

Have to chime in because I had the exact same thoughts as you. It really sounds like someone dialing you drunk af/high af at 3 AM ready to make a huge ass pizza but they can’t figure this basic ass shit out.

Like, if sober, how is the answer to this question not deducible from common sense.

victorz,

X11 is already dead

How do you mean that? I’ve been using X11 for like 17 years. i3 uses X11, and I will most likely not use another WM if I can help it. It’s perfect for me. X11 is available in the core repositories of all the big distros.

Curious to know what you mean by “dead”.

victorz,

I mean, I have no qualms with this, unless there are bugs and stuff waiting to be resolved. But I’ve not run into anything at all. I’m guessing the dev has other things going on in life and looking to make Sync sort of a passive income kind of project. I respect that. They might be working quite hard to make ends meet and do this in their spare time, however much that might be. I’d gladly drop the ad removal money if I thought the app was worth it. Which I’m starting to think. It was when it was for Reddit, but in those days it was cheaper.

Actually, there is one bug I’m experiencing. Ads will not load. There is just an empty square where an ad would be. But… I’m calling that a feature.

victorz,

So many people in the comments are being wooshed.

victorz,

I’d rather click a button that installed everything to the right place than relying on myself to drag a single thing to a specific folder. Opening a folder first and having to drag is… a drag. That’s my opinion.

victorz,

They already have that, as you can see in the clip.

victorz,

I’m neither female nor watch anime(?). Could someone ELI5?

victorz,

But it’s approaching zero. It never becomes zero. 😙👌

victorz,

I was sad when my dear grandpa died. He was like a (second) father to me. He taught me many things and was the sweetest man in the world, with more love in his heart than he knew what to do with. He was a great father, a great husband, and he grew up from nothing, fatherless himself, yet turned himself into an exemplary human being and man. A role model if you will.

Definitely wept at his funeral, because I missed him dearly already. Your situation not being similar doesn’t mean I have to pretend not to be sad. That’s bullshit.

victorz, (edited )

I seed until 1.0, but no more. Or as much required by the private tracker I’m a member of, or more if I seem to gain a lot of ratio. Am I bad?

victorz,

I feel like the images should be switched.

victorz,

That’s it, I’m up voting everything you’ve posted.

victorz,

Lazy for what exactly? I pressed “install” years ago, and haven’t touched it since. It does its thing in the background when I browse. Never any intervention from me.

victorz,

Boost. One-time cheap payment to get rid of ads. No subscription like Sync (which is otherwise also a great app; it was not subscription based when it was available for Reddit).

victorz,

At least he used “affirm” rather than “confirm”.

victorz,

I live in Sweden; rarely do I ever see a shopping cart just sitting in the parking lot. Can’t remember a time in the last decade.

victorz,

This is why I turn on the audio normalization on my TV. It makes the explosions sound super weird but it’s impossible to watch movies with kids sleeping otherwise. The mixing is so bad.

victorz,

Hope you find somebody that gives you affection and doesn’t treat you like shit, soon! If that’s what you want, that is… Take care, friend.

victorz,

And the Gen Z is… reading a newspaper? Nah fam, I don’t think that’s what’s going on.

victorz,

Honestly not the right format for that meme template lol. The monkey should represent one person doing both looks.

victorz,

I mean, despite the down votes I thought this was pretty based, even if it came across as a personal attack.

victorz,

Have another go at this train of thought, mate… You’re basically saying “MM/DD” is better at sorting chronologically than “DD/MM”, since the year part is taken out of the equation, which is already the established consensus, and not ironical whatsoever. And the ISO standard is already to use YYYY-MM-DD, so that’s the winner IMO, hands down. Japan is simply following that but using a slash as the delimiter.
