That’s a heartwarming story and I feel like this could be the plot for a fairy tale as it describes the life of a wonderful person being dealt a bad hand who then are finally finding their place where they can thrive and be appreciated doing what they love.

What the hell is wrong with that website? No banners, proper mobile formatting and it didn’t even ask me to accept cookies!

jawa21,

Don’t forget that, being Canadian news, it pisses off and hemorrhages money from Meta passively.

The first stage of the prophecy is complete. The Codfather shall soon walk the earth.

Shit-posting aside, I’m glad she was able to do it. A broken town clock is low key depressing.

Wow, thought most quality nations did that decades ago.

Just now, in 2023? I thought this barbarism was outlawed worldwide with some fringe exceptions.

Piemanding,

Idk maybe it was allowed to import old ivory from when it wasn’t illegal to kill these animals. Probably didn’t stop the poaching because you can claim it’s old ivory. Says it’s still allowed with a permit for museum or scientific research.

Etterra,

It’s probably still legal in China. Those “traditional medicine” wackadoos will put anything in their bodies if you claim it came from a dragon.

As opposed to here in America, where the wackadoos will put anything in their bodies if they’re sold by a celebrity that reinforces their cultural preconceptions.

I hope this doesn’t include old piano keys.

PilferJynx,

Yeah that would suck if you had to rip them off if you wanted the piano. I’m surprised they were used in the first place. Was it a luxury? I mean I can easily polish a bone with more luster than a piece of ivory.

JohnDClay,

I don’t know. They do look and feel pretty nice though. The patterns are more interesting than just white. But of course shouldn’t be killing elephants for them.

This should be banned everywhere, but especially china where they believe that it works better than viagra.
