I haven’t been back on Reddit since shortly before July 1. I enjoy the vibe here right and the novelty of something new hasn’t worn off yet.
Some subreddits I was more into like Destiny 2’s and Diablo 4 don’t seem as busy here so I have a feeling I may need to lurk over there still from time to time.
Haven’t been there since the blackout, don’t miss it. I’ve always gone there with desktop browser running uBO so I never did see adds there except for inline stuff once in a while. That’s one nice thing about Lemmy, looks exactly the same whether the blocker is on or off.
Same here. I’m not actively browsing or looking for information from Reddit, but if it’s unavoidable, then so be it. I can’t ignore the wealth of information still there.
Pay to run news stories on fringe Lemmy instances (which everyone has defederated) that offer illegal or borderline illegal content. Equate the fringe instances with Lemmy itself.
Find vulnerabilities and wait to use them until opportune times.
1056h in Team Fortress 2, which is the highest I can verify at least. I'm sure I've put more time in Sims 4 over the decade but with multiple installs of pirated copies I have no way to verify that lol
I’m surprised I had to scroll down this far to see someone else mention TF2. I clock in at around 2019 hours, although probably around 500-600 of those are from idling (remember idling?!)
Last time I played was in 2019, and last time I played before that was also a couple of years. But for a while, Team Fortress 2 was my life. I eventually got into surfing, and poured SO many hours into that across TF2 and later CS:S.
If anyone who used to frequent Omega Arcade’s surf server on TF2 ends up reading this, Mr. Asplundh says hi! ☺️
With you on this. I don’t like current Lemmy/kbin sorting methods. Most of my subscribed feed is filled with like 5 top communities, but I’m actually interested in those so I don’t want to block them.
It would be great if posts from smaller communities were injected into the feed even if they don’t really meet the “hot” requirements.
Lemmy is still missing some things I enjoyed from Reddit, things I can’t just snap my fingers and create here by typing a name into the “create community” page.
I’m not bothered by it. The transition will happen in time. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Etc.
It’s somewhat well know that he is very abrasive in public with fans that solicit him. I believe that is what is being referred to in this context. I am unaware of any additional “ass-hole-afications” he possesses though.
And so on. I hated them all since forever and knew somthing is not quite right with them. The only cases I was shocked was James Franco and Kevin spacey.
Seems you hate many people… may be it is just confirmation bias.
