Those are grippy socks. They’re often given to patients when they’re admitted to hospital. Over the past few years they’ve become synonymous with being admitted to a mental health ward.

The meme is saying that they’re afraid of being honest to their therapist because their therapist might admit them to a psych ward against their will.

To be honest I’d still be on Windows if MS hadn’t screwed me out of the license I bought through the MS store and attached to my MS account. I do kinda miss the new Bing assistant in Edge, that was neat to screw around with for free while I was on that OS

There are .deb and .rpm versions of Edge for Linux. Doesn’t get mentioned on the main download site until you scroll below the Mac/iPhone/Android options.

You can use it on other browsers with a little bit of work, changing user agents and things like that.

They are so fucking cool. If I had the money, I’d have a room that’s just these gems+blacklights. There are some that change color based on the wavelength of UV light they’re exposed to. Some glow a different color under UV than they do under normal light. Some are both fluorescent and phosphorescent, meaning they light up in response to UV, but then they can maintain their glow temporarily. Some change color based on the angle you view them at. They’re so fucking cool.

Holy shit I need blacklight jewelry! I got lab alexandrite and lab moissanite for my wedding ring, but I didn’t know I could get SCIENCE gems! And I do a ton of confocal microscopy where we use dichroic for splitting the wavelengths! Thank you for this link, I’m def buying all my jewelry from here from now on!

Grippy socks are standard issue for all in-patients in most US hospitals because they prevent falls and the floor is nasty. Seriously please wear them during your stay.
