My RX580 is about to be seven years old, and I still haven’t encountered any game that is 1) too intense for it and 2) actually worth playing, considering usually only AAA games are resource-intensive and 99% of them are MTX trash
Similar situation. Still running my 980, and the only games it can’t run are some of the AAA titles. Not even because they are too intense but my card is only supported up to like VidX and they are now on Vid11 or 12.
Nah, but it isn’t that good either. It’s very much mediocre and would have to be as revolutionary as Bethesda claimed it would be to justify the ridiculous hardware requirements.
Space travel and exploration (space and ground, seemlessly), as well as space combat? Elite: Dangerous.
Story? Literally anything.
Combat? Damn near any shooter made in the last 20 years.
Dungeon looting? Just play Fallout 4, which has plenty of issues but none as bad as Starfield.
It’s not bad. It’s just not good at anything. I have no reason to play it over so many other games. It feels like it doesn’t know what it’s supposed to be, so it doesn’t do anything well or interesting.
In my opinion, having played both at launch, it’s a pretty similar experience, except I could see what NMS wanted to be. It wanted to be an exploration game. It just didn’t have any systems to make that interesting.
Starfield doesn’t want to be an exploration game I don’t think, but it does have things to explore but it never makes it interesting or necessary. It’s sci-fi, but that genre is supposed to be used as a lense to look at real-world issues, and it doesn’t critique anything except maybe saying pirates are bad. None of the companions are interesting enough to care about, and they’re almost all identical, so it isn’t about them. The looting gameplay is pretty bad where you just do the same five dungeons over and over, so that obviously wasn’t a priority. I just can’t think of a single thing it actually makes important to the experience, so I don’t know what it’s trying to be.
It’s because world governments and companies spent a shit load of time and money changing things so it didn’t become an issue. People point to it as a load of fuss over nothing, the only reason for that was that action was actually taken.
I have my own pair of leggings because they’re comfy AF and if anyone wants to talk shit about that, two things: A, my wife bought them for me and that makes them EXTRA special, and 2: fuck off randy, the only reason you’re so butt hurt is because your massive insecurities prevent your ass from being caressed by a cloud.
Honestly for the longest time I didn’t even know leggings were supposed to be “girls clothing” I always wore them as a child in winter under my jeans. Never knew they “weren’t meant for me” . Honestly leggings are great
Fandom is like a coin. A coin that has a shiny surface on one side and a dirty, rusty, smelly layer on the other. Some fans can have the passion and diligence to elevate the media while being respectful, while a lot of fans can be just down right hateful because it’s easier to do so while contributing to nothing
For example, Gintama anime subreddit. It is such a pleasant corner of reddit. Everyone just caring about the show and characters and jokes, that’s all. I have rarely seen a hateful comment or post.
If you want video game streams then look for video games. I looked up the starcraft 2 section and there’s not a single thirst trap streamer, same with the video games that I play.
People are always getting pissed off that their favorite thing no longer exists. It’s still there, dummy! You just think it doesn’t because complaining is more popular than talking about the things that people like.
there are a few in very popular yet casual categories like Overwatch, but yes you have to go into hot tubs to see them and spend time in those streams to get recommended them
Who? I’m looking at the Overwatch 2 directory right now and can’t find a single one. Like half of them listed don’t even have face cams on, judging by a quick scan of the thumbnails.
Electric current is actually carried by a bunch of microscopic bats. A battery contains thousands of these microscopic bats. A tery is a former battery that has been depleted of its bats i.e. a dead battery.
Batteries are extremely dangerous because bats are known to carry rabies. Additionally, Harry Nyquist et. al. figured out on April 20th, 1969 that batteries with rabid bats can deliver more energy than batteries with healthy bats, so they are more dangerous now than they used to be. The bats are so rabid in home power systems that the rabies can kill you instantly if the bats get to you.
As a result, batteries may only be used in devices that cover the batteries in a protective case. Additionally, the protective cover helps shield the bats’ echolocation from loud noises from outside the case so that current doesn’t get lost. Actually, this effect is why telephones sound so distinct: the current-carrying bats are getting lost as they fly towards the speaker because their echolocation is being disturbed by your voice.
It literally doesn’t matter; you can’t make proper use of the calculator without knowing how to do the problems without it anyway, so this is just stupid bullshit lazy people throw at you to justify not putting effort into anything
Yeah. You’ll probably have access to a calculator these days, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth knowing some basic arithmetic. Playing around with arithmetic is a good way to gain an understanding of the fundamentals and have a better sense of what the operations mean and how they work, which helps even when you do have a calculator.
Pretty sure that’s Krampus. (Evil counterpart to Saint Nick in Southern German folklore, punishing bad children while Saint Nick is giving presents to the good ones.)
I’d love that kind of punishment. Be carried around in a basket and go down a slope in a sleigh, screaming with a childish glee I’ve not felt in decades.
Yo, I keep meaning to watch that clearly wack-ass Krampus movie, from a few years ago. I get the feeling it’s one of those so-bad-it-was-actually-pretty-entertaining kind of flicks.
Don’t we already have like three “millennials after facing 3 major crises in their lifetime” memes? Why did we need a will smith one? They’re all the same joke with different pictures.
The right response to this meme would be that other meme: first time?
:)
What I mean to say is : this bullshit is of all times.
Just look back in recent history. A long string of wars and economic downturns. GEN Xers have everything you have and the wonderful 70s, 80s & 90s added to the mix. You know, the never ending Vietnam war, Afghanistan, iran, gulf wars, yugoslavia, kaukasus, latin america in flames and a lot of other bullshit.
Economics? Ad to present day woes the oil crisis, housing crisis of the 80s where 15% mortgage rates meant that yes, housing was cheap and no, nobody could pay the mortgage and that bullshit in the 90s which I cant remember by name. And the dot.com burst of the 00’s.
We all want it to stop. Like forever. But you know the line :
Money talks , bullshit walks.
The money is talking. We’re just sitting here bullshitting. And, to end with that other meme, apparently: this is fine.
Because we in Europe are all voting hard right and across the pond people seem hell bend on the return of the orange faced demented warrior. And can we really blame 'em? Because what choice do they really have? Grandpa1 vs grandpa2? A competition about whose dementia is the worst? What’s this? The soviet polit bureau of the 80s? ?
