It’s still good to start training one’s AI prompt muscles and to learn what a LLM can and can’t do.

And LaTeX works very well with git, this is really great when you are collaborating on a report.

Are you planning to read Brian’s books after Chapterhouse? I chose to stop.

After I finished with Dune, I started reading John Scalzi Both the Old Man’s War and the Collapsing Empire series, he is a great and funny author.

Then I’m re-reading Discworld between the other books, I have also been reading WH40K Eisenhorn but the second book didn’t really catch, the mountain of lore can be a bit scary.

Not even one ad, it’s open source same with Eternity.

I switched from Jerboa to Eternity because of the 0.19 update fuss.

I’m not sure how VPN will help against ads, without VPN Boost access the ads from IP A, with VPN Boost access the ads from IP B.

When the update happened, The version of Jerboa in the app store and fdroid was not compatible with the 0.19 changes as you could not sign in, so I just switched to Eternity (which seemed to handle 0.19 better) instead of looking for a RC version of Jerboa.

Edit: There are no problems with the current version of Jerboa (0.0.55) and Lemmy 0.19.2, just to make things clear.

Was upgrading Devuan and something happened with grub-update, could be my btrfs subvol setup?

Anyway a rescue boot, chroot and grub-update later, and it’s running great again.

Naah I just disable secure boot altogether, then you don’t have to worry about all that TPM security theatre.

Fair enough I don’t miss the old BIOS.

Education and wisdom are two separate stats, this guy didn’t roll very high on Wis.

Yes, if it gets shy/cold enough it can end up as an innie, cycling can also trigger it.

Easier and more hygienic, bald kids with paint and a wig.

Sounds like something from the Mycogen district (foundation series).

It’s all the bloat in those distros that is transferred to the waistline, back in the day we used WindowMaker. Not all that fancy Gnome and KDE stuff.

As I recall back in 2003 when MythBusters started there were still some okay shows left but it went downhill quickly from there.

I haven’t been able to find a good list of Discovery schedules by year, that would make it clear when it became reality only.

The good shows I remember from the 90s was:

  • Dinosaur! and When Dinosaurs Ruled with Bob Bakker
  • Connections with James Burke
  • Beyond 2000
  • Time Team
  • WW2 documentaries

It’s the Bugs and Daffy Pagie Yes/No gif, linked externally. Could be something in your end has blocked makeagif.com? (and that site could be a poor choice by me?).
