Buffaloaf,

My high school English teacher did this, although we didn’t know it at the time. It wasn’t until I was doing an essay on banned books in college that I realized all of the ones we read in his class were banned. Really made me appreciate him more.

Buffaloaf,

Solid state batteries being used in EVs

Buffaloaf,

Now you’ve triggered Lemmy’s hate of pitbulls. Be prepared for “they should all be put down” and “they’re bred to be vicious, you can’t undo that” comment barrage.

I wish you luck.

Buffaloaf,

He could’ve just as easily hired someone to cater and make good food, instead he spent $5000 on fast food because he thinks that’s what college football players prefer.

Also, Trump was the reason for the government shutdown because he wanted funding for his bullshit border wall.

Buffaloaf,

Same. Not a healthy diet, but a diet none the less.

Buffaloaf,

And more moving parts that wear out, yay!

Buffaloaf, (edited )

I think the big reason people think that music from another time was better is because you only get to hear the good songs; they stopped playing the shitty ones long ago.

Buffaloaf,

And every component cord I’ve used had some way of separating the two audio cords from the three video cords. I’ve struggled more trying to figure out which way is up on an HDMI.

Buffaloaf,

So like a podcast version of those annoying reaction videos

Buffaloaf,

Boulder, CO comes to mind for me. Although, there’s one in my small town that’s almost exactly like this so I suppose these are just everywhere.

Confession: I actually kinda like this decor. Not the overpriced food and drinks though.

Looking at some of the headlines from 1992 is pretty interesting:

  • The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that states can’t ban abortions
  • there were the Rodney King riots
  • Billl Cosby won a kids choice award,
  • Jeffrey Dahmer was found sane and guilty of murder
  • John Gotti convicted of murder
  • Goosebumps by R.L. Stine is first published
  • Cartoon Network goes on air
  • Sinéad O’Connor rips up a picture of Pope John Paul II on SNL
  • Rage Against the Machine releases their first album
  • Disney’s Aladdin is released and makes a fuck load of money
  • Billy Ray Cyrus’s daughter is born
  • Russian Federation is formed after the collapse of the Soviet Union
Buffaloaf,

Nothing specific, just looked through different news sites and found some things I thought were interesting.

Buffaloaf,

The Kentucky Ballistics guy (I forget his name) damn near died when his 50 cal exploded, then he came back and was like “so that sucked. Anyways, I found this even bigger gun that I’m going to shoot now”

Buffaloaf,

Used to make fun mullets and mustaches too.

What is your unpopular flim opinion

I’ll go first. Mine is that I can’t stand the Deadpool movies. They are self aware and self referential to an obnoxious degree. It’s like being continually reminded that I am in a movie. I swear the success of that movie has directly lead to every blockbuster having to have a joke every 30 seconds

Buffaloaf,

I think the problem with Sucker Punch was no one really knew what it was about before watching it and ended up being like “this is fucking weird”. If you look at everything as though it’s from inside the mind of someone who was just lobotomized then it’s pretty good, imo.

Buffaloaf,

There’s one in Afton, Wy if that’s what you’re talking about. It has a giant “We Are Open!” sign that reminds me of Clerks

Buffaloaf,

The Ford Maverick is the smallest, if that’s what you’re thinking. A bit larger, but with better towing and off-road ability, you’re looking at Ford Ranger, Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon, Toyota Tacoma, and Nissan Frontier.

Buffaloaf,

Next step: hire a consultant to figure out how to consult less.

Buffaloaf,

They’d rather sign up for Bluesky and give Jack Dorsey more money.

Buffaloaf,

Cargo ships also emit a shit ton of particulate, NOx, and SO2 since they aren’t required to have the same emissions controls as on road vehicles. It’s a serious problem for both climate change and immediate health impacts.
