CADmonkey,

The Suzuki Carry is the one I really wanted. I’ve a soft spot for tiny suzuki vehicles.

Every time I mention not being able to find one in early 2022, people come along to show me where I can get one now. The issue was, I couldn’t find one when I needed it.

CADmonkey,

It was half the price of the next cheapest truck on the lot, and the next cheapest truck had twice the miles. But the next cheapest truck had all the whiz-bang fancy electronics, instead of being four wheels and a truck bed.

CADmonkey,

As much as I enjoy the scream?

Fun fact, my wife found out I liked it. And she ssid “I bet I could do that”. She didn’t get it quite right the first time, but she nailed it the second time. Which just flipped those switches even harder.

CADmonkey,

Most anything negative about drugs is because they are illegal. Fentanyl would be almost unheard of outside the silly war on drugs.

CADmonkey,

Its also easier to see someone standing in front of that KW than in front of a 2023 Silverado.

CADmonkey,

They have this whole cheese grater thing going on.

CADmonkey,

I can’t for the life of me remember what it was called, or who made it. It was a phone with a full keyboard, and instead of sliding the keyboard out it opened like a little laptop. When it was closed, it was a shiny silver blank rectangle with a display that would shine through when a call was made or when someone called me.

There were so many cool unique phones before Basic Rectangle With Button took over.

CADmonkey,

you could barely get the pictures it took out of it.

Ugh. I had some kind of old Samsung flip phone in the late 2000’s and I had a picture on it of my ATV hanging upside down in the top of a tree. Easily 20m high. But I had trouble getting the pic off the phone, and now the phone is long gone.

CADmonkey,

Well… that and she has seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

And… she remembered me doing it last year.

CADmonkey,

This has less to do with pornography than it does normalizing one more goddamn camera.

Say it again for the people in the back.

CADmonkey,

Just commit a crime with a longer sentence than your state’s statute of limitations.

CADmonkey,

Motorcycles. Both riding, and maintainence/repair. Wonderful for my mental health, and they’re all cool in their own ways.

CADmonkey,

I’m a mechanical draftsman. The parts I model keep huge installations, that society depends on, functioning. And a few times a week, I get nice and high with the wife. I’ve known entirely too many functional stoners, it’s so common that I would almost say everyone knows one somewhere.

CADmonkey,

The big difference is, very few people chain-smoke marijuana.

CADmonkey,

Maybe because Peach wasn’t a simpering little thing with no agency who needed someone to clean up her whoopsies?

CADmonkey,

Fox news hasn’t given them the new words yet.

CADmonkey,

It probably won’t save them from getting Dorner’ed again.

CADmonkey,

Because of a roommate I had around 2006-2007, I don’t have to try very hard to imagine.

CADmonkey,

It’s weird to see how many comments are hysterically defending excessive ads.

CADmonkey,

Teenager, nothing, Im in my 40’s and I’d turn it off.

Maybe they will learn about what should be paired on what circuit if it gets turned off enough.

Where Are All The Bicycles?? (startrek.website)

I have an issue in general with scifi totally ignoring the existence of bicycles, but star trek is particularly fun to think about since in so many situations beaming down in an away team with electric mountain bicycles would be incredibly useful in a basic utilitarian sense. Like shuttles, bicycles could be treated as...

CADmonkey,

The thing that has always bugged me is the lack of bicycles in post-apocalyptic movies.

CADmonkey,

Including Paris, if my memory serves me right.

I admit the last time I watched Voyager, was when it was on broadcast TV…

CADmonkey,

This is vehicle-dependent for me.

If I’m in the car and it turns yellow in time for me to stop normally and gently, I’ll stop. If I’m on my bike I will go through the yellow, in case the person behind me isnt paying attention.
