No community recommendation unfortunately, but I’d recommend having chatgpt give your resume a once over, I had pretty good luck with it. Basically tell it your duties or give it your current resume and tell it to make it more professional and marketable.
You didn’t mention what industry you’re looking for, but here’s a big list of tech oriented remote employers to consider: github.com/remoteintech/remote-jobs
That’s most of these dealer sites… lowest bidder marketing company with no context and little development experience outside of deploying CDK Roaster gets told “we need ai” and voila, here’s AI.
Spot on, I got roped into dealership backends and it’s the same across the board. No care given for quality or purpose, as long as the narcissist idiots running the company can brag about how “cutting edge” they are at the next trade show.
I’ve always just used konsole or gnome terminal. Never really looked into what else is available. Tried cool-retro-term the other day, but the novelty wore off pretty fast for me....
In the United States, the Great Plains is the large stretch of land east of the Rockies, it contains parts of 10 states: Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming , Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico. It also extends up into Canada.

Same, but honestly for me it is such a lonely existence. Even when I show off my projects to friends/family they can’t understand the effort that went into it… many seem to think there’s a “make racing game” button or something and I just added some textures or built a track.
I often wonder if I should pivot into wood working or something else, at least I’d have something tangible to gift or sell at the end. People just seem to appreciate things they can hold in their hands more.
Hearing the movie is getting bad reviews. But Snyder says the director’s cut will be a completely different movie with a different vision. I admit Zack Snyder’s Justice League (director’s cut) was much better than the theatrical version and quite different (though I had mostly forgotten the original by then). Not sure if I...
Rounding out my viewing of this snooze fest, there is no way a directors cut can save this film, and certainly adding more time isn’t going to improve it. Dull characters, uninspired environments, generic spacecraft, I’m really struggling to understand how this much time and money can be invested into something so mediocre.
I remember when Proton launched it was like magic playing games like Doom and Nier Automata straight from the Linux Steam client with excellent performance. I do not miss the days of having the Windows version of Steam installed separately.
Literally everyone that is WFH is employed by a tech giant with a high 6 figure salary intended for San Fran market standards, but choosing to live in a shack out in the boonies pocketing the difference. This is definitely stable, viable and repeatable for everyone in America. Go make bank y’all.
Edit: Geez, do I need the /s? Most companies caught onto this shit like 6 months into the pandemic and do cost-of-living salary adjustments for WFH now. Damn near no one is “making bank by moving” any more.
I find this reply kind of confusing, you’re comfortable with Gentoo on a server but installing a DE with pacman was too much? Black arch slim comes with xfce, that should definitely allow you to resize windows lol.
Oh I see… I haven’t used black arch personally, that seems so strange they’d go out of their way to disable that. For whatever is worth vanilla Arch + Xfce + i3 has been super great for my desktop, really brought new life to the hardware
Atmos won’t save you from shitty sound mixes, I have a pretty nice speaker setup and still have to turn on captions if I want to hear a conversation without my neighbors calling the cops during the next action sequence.
