I have, unlike the other comment, no idea what you want/can do or what “audio cable” you mean. But the answer is yes, both as in using the wire with and without the original USB connections. You can use essentially any wir for audio, or is essentially DC, so unlike wires that carry information (USB, HDMI, …) there is no need for shielding etc

Eheran,

Why would you abuse a washing machine? How much do you have to wash that such a machine would not be a complete waste of resources and money?

You don’t buy a truck just because every container is moved by trucks when all you transport is yourself and a bag.

Lemmy: fails the vibe check (lemmy.zip)

Zero chill factor. Every post has to have a dissertation under it explaining how its problematic. Reddit/Twitter reposts that make you nod your head in agreement get mindlessly upvoted. Even communities that should be more off-color get relegated to the most normie shit possible. Lemmy feels homogenous as fuck. /rant

Eheran,

I only see deformed dogs in the non-muffin ones.

Eheran,

You can hear some dogs having trouble to breathe. How can people like something like that? Disgusting.

Eheran,

What is even “Niagara launcher”?

Eheran,

Considering the small amounts of money we do know about in corruption, I would day you massively overestimate how much someone costs.

Eheran,

Having multiple billions and dumping half a billion at once are two very different things.

Eheran,

In total, yes, maybe more. But over, likely, thousands of people and, mostly, for minor things here and there.

Also, just throwing money at people is not somehow a failsafe way to get something. Not everyone can be corrupted and not everyone seeing the corruption is going to be quiet about it.

Eheran,

So were those stones ugly? Or just too much for his furniture? Why is this so anti-stones?

Eheran,

That makes sense, thank you!

Eheran, (edited )

That’s the thing, they do use kg. So it is not something they don’t know about. Just that stone for people’s weight specifically somehow is still in use.

For the pint, I do not think it is about the volume when someone says that. As of they are only going to drink one anyway?! Replace it with beer and it is a perfectly normal thing to say.

"Combokeys" instead of hotkeys. [Feature/new command suggestion]

Title. Basically, “if a street fighter gamer and a linux tryhard had a baby” where a combination of keys is issued to run a command/script rather than a single or a simultaneous stroke of two or more. i.e left, down, left, right arrow keys, R_CTRL to run Firefox. Right, right, Up, right arrow keys, delete to power off the...

Eheran,

Hahaha, thank you. In windows that would be even more efficient, since a few letters will be enough to identify something unique. Win, f, i, enter

Eheran,

Good. Why did he then fell the need for absurd key combos?

Eheran,

At least now, when you do “update and shut down”, it will first restart to actually completely finish the update and then shut down again.

Eheran,

And for a good reason too. People need to be opt-out to do them automatically, we know how XP looked like.

Eheran,

I mostly agree with you. But something like 3 years ago, I remember letting my PC run while I was gathering seats over night. There was no previous “restart now” or even “update now”. However, in the morning, I found the PC had restarted too install an update. And that was the standard setting back then. I changed it to only prompt that there are updates since, and AFAIR that setting was “reset” 1 or 2 times ever since in an update.

But seeing how absurdly niche what I do is, I doubt that random users will care. And sadly they need to be forced to update for the sake of all of us.

Eheran,

Is energy efficiency of any concern?

Eheran,

This is by far the best option for awkward connectors. You could even remove the pins and put the new cables in by opening the crimp and soldering the new ones without any splice.

Eheran,

Get a board with a TP5000. Like this one here.

Don’t charge LFP to 4.2 volt! The crude “check voltage and if below 3.6 V keep charging” is okay too as long as the maximum current is within battery spec. But measure while charging, don’t turn that off to measure the open circuit voltage.

Eheran,

What you are talking about is nothing special at all and not following a charging curve. The curve automatically looks the way it does when charging CCCV. Constant Current -> Constant Voltage.

Eheran,

It is in no way tricky. Simply apply a constant voltage.

Eheran,

Perfect.

Eheran,

What do you actually need? 1 microsecond with “decent bit” is not exactly a lot of information. An oscilloscope would fit that perfectly. How do they not work how you want them to? Who told you that you need something else?
