I’m actually surprised, I thought the reason they were reluctant to endorse the so-called Independent State Legislature Theory because they didn’t want to erode their already fragile credibility in light of the seemingly endless corruption scandals.

An argument I’ve seen to explain this decision was that it detracted from the judiciary’s influence/power by instead empowering state legislatures. Take that as you will, but I wouldn’t put it past them.

Honestly, yeah, size standardization in some form would help so, so much. It’s such a pain trying to figure out whether something will fit, even when it says it’s the same size as another garment, like you say, 14 at one shop or even in one brand and 16 in another.

There appear to be a few, albeit none are active at the moment, and I think the intent was to consolidate them all to one community on dbzer0. Communities with the same name may be found on Lemmy World (where a pinned post directs people to dbzer0) and Lemmee, where although there’s no pointer to dbzer0, it’s made by the same person, so I’m guessing the same idea may apply.

What ways do you find different media?

Whether it’s music, books, games, tv or movies, if you tune out most of the marketing, how do you go about finding new or old stuff? Word of mouth, new marketing (i.e. influencers/YouTubers), or do you ride the related artists/recommendations on stuff like Spotify/Last.fm/YouTube/Netflix/etc.? Or perhaps something else...
