We have 3rd party verification services already, just use those. 🤷 They’re pretty good at verifying I’m a vet, I’m sure they can confirm that you definitely exist.
I agree with you, gimme back my checkbox, but it’d be better than “give the porn site your ID.”
Funny how the venn diagram of “it’s the govts job to protect my kids at all costs” and “the govt shouldn’t come near my children with a 10 foot pole because they’re brainwashers” is a perfect circle.
This is the issue. Experts effectively speak in another language than the rest of us, and the dummies/(honestly mostly) intentionally disengenuous among us use that to disqualify experts.
Experts know there’s a margin of error. Dummies are easily convinced by the intentionally disengenuous that the margin of error accounted for means it’s all bullshit.
I live within my means, avoiding the capitalist loop/profit printer of debt. I donate to a number of local charities working to feed, clothe, and house those in need. I volunteer my labor occasionally to various organizations. I advocate against car centric infrastructure and improved public transit in my local government. I offer free tech repairs to people, and if I have a needed part laying around I just provide it free. Before my car died I participated in a service to give people rides to the store or wherever.
No, I’m not changing the world, but I’m living my life in a sustainable way that I feel serves others and I find that fulfilling.
Yep. Doesn’t matter that she contradicted her own evidence. She’s a “Professional Witness” so her word overrule ms anything else.
The way it was explained to me, “as a loss prevention employee she has no stakes in whether you get charges or not” but idk I imagine if you’re an LP person who doesn’t get any convictions you probably won’t have a job long. 🤷
I caught a petty larceny charge and couldn’t find work for like 7-8 years (turns out petty larceny is considered “relevant” by basically everyone) after missing a $5 pair of sunglasses at self checkout on a $1-200 purchase, because the LP person lied when the judge said he saw no intent and told him “I watched him remove the tag and that’s intent if I ever saw it.”
Mind you, this is AFTER she provided a picture of the “stolen merchandise” with the tag still attached - Doesn’t matter because LP is considered a “professional witness” so if they say the sky is neon green, legally the sky is neon green. 🙄
