I grew up in a family with eighteen kids. If having such a huge family is good for anything, it’s that I don’t have the romantic veneer that most people do when it comes to childrearing.
I know exactly how expensive and hard it is, and just how much it sucks.
This can and should be a federal thing. You’d think indebting kids for basic nourishment would be worth threatening to block appropriations for war or something, but it’s not.
It was a short-term investment. When the airline industry shut down, oil bottomed out, but I knew it was only a matter of time before COVID subsided and air travel came back, and when it did, I made a profit selling those stocks.
I’d also add that, if I had any real power to reverse climate change, I would. The people in my country are powerless to create real change because American corporations are the biggest polluters, and they also own all of our legislators.
I didn’t mind the small increase to 11.99, but the way they’re doing this just rubs me the wrong way.
They’re not only increasing the sub price, but tinkering with the display quality too AND laying people off… Netflix just doesn’t deserve my cash when I can access most of this content via other means.
I got rid of a bunch of subs at the beginning of the year, getting rid of NF too.
