I was always under the impression that plants chemically convert CO2 and some other stuff to glucose (C6-H12-O6), right? In that case, the algae would still help, wouldnt they?
Cato_the_podasist did. The OP of this thread said that this post has nothing to do with capitalism and that we should therefore stop talking about it here. Cato_the_podasist argued against that saying that pointing out the source of the problem is always relevant, THEREBY IMPLYING that pointing out capitalism is always relevant (because capitalism doesnt have anything to do with this post specifically) so if its relevant here, then were is it not relevant?
(What I meant is: Capitalism is not relevant here. Maybe sometimes it is the root of the problem but not in every case (and certainly not in this one).
The English “Yo” is a really good translation. You can use it to express surprise (“Alter! Wtf!” - “Yo! Wtf!”) or to address someone (“Alter, was geht?” - “Yo, whats up?”).
“Yo” really is the best translation I can think of.
More people using free software means more resources going into them, maybe industry-wide adoption. Would it not be awesome to have ODP be the standard file format for a document (because enough people use Linux to make an open standard necessary)? Interoperability will be a big thing if enough people start using Linux.
The point was that if you had access to it, you could do some bad stuff but you wont ever have access to it.
You cant have access to the blockchain so you couldnt change anything. Saying “if i had access to the blockchain,…” is like saying “if I had access to your stuff, I could steal it”. Yeah, thats right but that doesnt mean anything…
Thats true but they also usually contain things like the pictures hash so as long as you have the file you can always claim it (even if the hyperlink becane invalid).
I’ve been seeing all these posts about Linux lately, and looking at them, I can honestly see the appeal. I’d love having so much autonomy over the OS I use, and customize it however I like, even having so many options to choose from when it comes to distros. The only thing holding me back, however, is incompatibility issues....
Every single docx file that I opened in a recent LibreOffice version looked exactly as intended. What features specifically are you talking about that dont work?
