Gestrid,

people unsatisfied

This describes me seeing my Astro Boy 2003 English dub torrent 99.98% complete a few weeks ago.n

Gestrid, (edited )

No, it shows me which files aren’t complete. It’s a tiny bit of the final episode and a .sfv file that was supposed to check for file integrity. So it’s not a complete loss, but it’s still disappointing.

Gestrid,

Immune system to the infection: “If I die, I’m taking you with me!”

Gestrid,

I have no idea why, but your comment just randomly reminded me of this song from my childhood.

Gestrid,

What is that?

Gestrid, (edited )

*30 minutes to two hours

No way is my body not rejecting that immediately.

Gestrid,

They’re not the only one filled with rage.

Gestrid,

My issue with video game subtitles is actually the opposite problem. The subtitles have finished appearing, but the voiced line is still going. It’s especially bad when you’re playing in an audio language you can’t understand. (Some Japanese video games still don’t have English voice acting. Yakuza, for example, only recently started doing English voice acting.)

Gestrid,

it’s an anime trope for old people to be pervs

Weirdly enough, I just learned in my Developmental Psychology class recently that there’s a very surprising amount of sex between old people going on in nursing homes. Some of the students who’d actually worked in nursing homes before even confirmed it. So the trope may not be as unfounded as we might think.

Not saying old people hitting on kids is okay. It’s freaking weird and gross. Just stating an interesting fact.

Gestrid,

No, I moreso meant that older people having sexual desires is surprisingly common.

Gestrid,

Just use the same cast for both movies!

Gestrid,

Honestly, I’d probably use Tor more if I knew which sites on the dark web were “safe”.

Basically, I know how to use Tor, but I have no idea where to begin with it.

Gestrid,

If there is, I’d like to know.

Gestrid,

I talk like that when I’m alone on speakerphone. Especially if I need to look something up at the same time.

Gestrid,

Some of them do.

In any case, typically, the ones that aren’t occupied are always slightly ajar, so there’s no need for an “occupied” indicator.

Gestrid,

It probably won’t always work, but pressing 0 is usually a “hidden” option that’ll connect you to a human. It used to be used to connect people to an operator, and many companies still use it that way, even if they don’t advertise it.

Gestrid,

I ended up “under-doing” it, got the flu as a result, and ended up having three zero days in a row followed by three bare minimum days.

Gestrid,

I remember when I had a weak strain of COVID (barely any symptoms except for achiness all over, slight stuffiness, brain fog, and trouble getting enough oxygen). Even without doing anything, I was tired enough at the end of the day to sleep about 9-10 hours straight.

I wouldn’t want to have a stronger strain, and I hope you get better soon.

Gestrid,

They just want you to put your plates back together.

Gestrid,

And it just got renewed for two more seasons after this one. variety.com/…/futurama-renewed-season-13-14-hulu-…

Gestrid,

Probably because it’d take a ton of time and money (because of API limits and costs), and it’d potentially disrupt Lemmy too much.

Reddit is a massive site, as far as how much content it’s stored over the years.

Gestrid,

That’s an oddly specific video, and I enjoyed every second of it. XD

Piracy is Preservation (feddit.de)

Image description: a screenshot from the Wikipedia page for the Doctor Who TV series, with a user-added caption that reads “Preserve the media you can before it’s gone forever.” The Wikipedia article reads, “No 1960s episodes exist on their original videotapes (all surviving prints being film transfers), though some were...

Gestrid,

They probably think it’s safer somehow. But I don’t really get how.

Most built-in password managers allow for you to setup a master password of sorts if you try to sync everything to a new device, and most also require you to use your computer’s native verification to view a single password in plaintext or export all of them as plaintext. (For browsers on Windows, they use Windows Hello; for browsers on Android, they use the fingerprint scanner or the lock screen pin.)

Disney is gouging customers with a near doubling of subscription costs. (sh.itjust.works)

Disney is raking its customers over the coals with a 75% price hike for their annual subscription (originally $80.) People wonder why piracy is on the rise.Multiple commenters are saying I’m off base about the 75% price increase. My payment less than a year ago was $79.99. Here’s the proof.

Gestrid,

Happy 100th, anniversary, Disney! /s
