Me and my partner do this. We often eat vegan food but if we add a bit of cheese it doesn’t matter. We’ve still consumed way less meat and dairy than we would have a few years ago

I work in early years. Yes babies have a great understanding of body language and facial expression long before they can talk to communicate.

Young children are actually far more intelligent than most people give them credit for. Just because they can’t communicate it the same language as us yet doesn’t mean they don’t know what they’re doing.

If they didn’t understand body language, how would they bond with people? And people bond back with them? Not to be insulting, but it’s like with pets. We can build bonds with them because we learnt to understand each others body language even though we don’t speak the same language

Are there any good free alternatives to brilliant.org?

I’ve seen brilliant’s website and I like the fact that they make have alot of interactive visually engaging content but I don’t know if it’s worth the price or if there is any free possibly non profit version available that is just as interactive and visually engaging way to learn different math and science topics that...

I used brilliant for a while to see what it was like and tbh if you have the time to use it regularly and the money to spend, I thought it was worth it. I just don’t have the time to make it worthwhile right now.

I learnt a lot in a short space of time and it kept my attention well, which can be difficult given I have adhd.

I’m sure there are better, more in depth, apps or websites somewhere but I found the game like interface to be much better for me and much more interesting

It’s actually incredibly common. Think about all the people who bite on the end of their pen or always have a drink (like a water bottle or coffee) to hand

Okay, I’m a bit concerned at this whole thing.

When I’m on then I shower once a day. I use femfresh to wash and then towel dry.

Why would I need anything else in between? Most disposable products need changing every 4hrs but that doesn’t mean throughly cleaning between uses. Reusables vary but again nothing needs deep cleaning under than 12hrs.

I feel like I’m misunderstanding the question?

What is Something Scientific that you just don't believe in at all?

EDIT: Let’s cool it with the downvotes, dudes. We’re not out to cut funding to your black hole detection chamber or revoke the degrees of chiropractors just because a couple of us don’t believe in it, okay? Chill out, participate with the prompt and continue with having a nice day. I’m sure almost everybody has something...

My mum has a severe bad back and she had to go on a fortnight physio retreat thing. There were a couple of people there that had a mild back problem, went to a chiropractor and ended up with severe chronic pain. Ill never forget that and have never been to one because I don’t see it as worth the risk

This year has been bad in my area. The cost of living crisis, lots of illness sweeping through, general stress, it’s all meant that no one has really had the Christmas spirit this year. And I’m not talking gifts or anything like that. I’m talking about having hot chocolate, wearing pjs, admiring other people’s decorations.

We’ve all commented that we haven’t been feeling it, and no one can pinpoint why exactly, but I think there’s just too many bad/stressful things going on for people to have the emotional resources left to be positive
