I don’t believe you’re correct about this. Corporations love your take here, though. They absolutely have entire teams of lawyers that push this narrative as best they can.
Yeah, enjoy that… I’ve tried it enough times to find the process cumbersome and full of troubleshooting. In the right state of mind I enjoy that, but I could never straight up ditch windows as someone who games often. Sometimes you just want to download a new game and play it.
Linux will get there, if things keep going that direction. It’s not there yet, though.
I can’t wait for tomorrow, when each of these will have a new thumbnail because Netflix thinks everyone is too stupid to discern new thumbnails from new content.
To be fair, most people that still subscribe year-round to Netflix may not notice this tactic.
Seeing the other post here about YouTuber that went downhill and seeing content creators I am familiar with makes me sad. But how about those that still makes great, high quality content?
I’d argue that none can claim to be high quality if they use tons of ads. I just can’t stand this sort of thing, and YouTube’s own paid system doesn’t block them all.
This said, my (free) adblockers currently work, and they block the sponsored stuff as well. When they work, I still really enjoy Kurzgesagt videos. They are excellent.
Oof, I respect that you enjoy it, but it’s at the bottom of the list for me. I actually like Pizza Hut to some degree, but I go to local places usually. The best pizza is almost always at those local haunts!
Yeah, I saw that again the other day and could not care less. I love the Lemmy mobile apps, and there’s nothing good left for Reddit in that area.
I actually was kind of annoyed the first week of Lemmy. It felt like a lot of keyboard warriors came over. It doesn’t feel as much like that any longer. I think if anyone didn’t stick around, it was the loud people pretending they were stronger than their addictions.
Good riddance, this is a much more chill crowd now. Maybe it’s just a bunch of old people… But eh, I’m old. We can all be old together now. Just stay the fuck off my lawn, and by that I mean the grass outside my apartment complex.
