I was using Samsung’s news app until it kept overwhelming me with ads for walk-in showers and politics. What are good apps that aggregate news from multiple sources? Bonus if they provide actual links to the articles and don’t just steal the content.
I’ve always just used konsole or gnome terminal. Never really looked into what else is available. Tried cool-retro-term the other day, but the novelty wore off pretty fast for me....
Not just the terminal, I mean a full remote desktop. What’s the best method? Not just from one linux machine to another machine, but also remoting from a windows machine to a linux machine....
In addition to using text editors like vim or emacs and using a tiling window manager, what other programs do you use to reduce usage of the mouse? I recently discovered warpd which is similar to vimium’s hint mode but works globally.
Better than this, I’m in QC (basically same climate as ME) and my heatpump is rated -20C/-4F and yes it works in winter to heat the house. Sometimes the heat pump goes in a “anti frost mode”, it’s automatic. I set it to 73F in winter and depending of the room it’s between 70 and 73, even if it’s -4F outside.
In QC, ME, VT, etc it can go down to -22F in winter, not uncommon. I have electric baseboard set to 70F so in case the heatpump stops, the baseboards take the relay.
