There are very few Far Side cartoons that I can this about, but…

Do. Not. Like.

Bloom County Starts December 8 (sh.itjust.works)

If you don’t know about Bloom County it’s a comic strip that ran the decade of the 80s (1980-1989). It was one of my favorites as a kid and though some of it will surely be dated, the majority should hold up well to current times. It examined events in politics and culture through the viewpoint of a fanciful small town in...

I’d like to give Petal Maps a serious try, but for some reason it doesn’t work with CarPlay. So it’s a no-go for me.

Yes! As someone who grew up on the Bugs Bunny Roadrunner Show on Saturday mornings, this is great news!

I emailed him and asked him about that once. He says that he intentionally draws characters that can’t be identified, because he wants his cartoons to be inclusive. I guess they could be either male or female if you accept that his characters just have no hair.

The Shield. One of the most tightly written seven seasons of television I’ve ever watched. Most things tied together, and the finale closed the loop on what happened in the first episode. The end of every episode left you immediately wanting to start the next one.

It’s about the Strike Team, a special unit of four cops within a police department. The whole series is on Hulu. Give it a try, and you’ll be hooked.

I’ve got to say that I’ve enjoyed having Echo speakers around the house and the things that they can do. I know Amazon may be listening in on me, but they’re bored to tears if they are! But I enjoy having the Echo speakers turn lights on & off around the house, set the Nest thermostat without having to get up, play music, answer questions, etc.
