I wouldn’t be surprised if both Trump and Biden die of natural causes in September/October, throwing the November election into chaos as no one has anyone to vote for anymore.
It’s just the sort of chaos this timeline seems to crave.
Being fit and healthy doesn’t really exclude much at that age, anything can happen.
My grandpa was fit as a fiddle at 86 outside gardening everyday, then got kidney cancer and a bunch of other stuff all at once, pretty much bedridden within a year.
If you have 40 first class seats instead of 60 regular seats, why would you drop the price of the first class if you could make more with the 60 regular seats.
My plan has always been to get cremated and then just bury my ashes somewhere with a little gravestone. No need for a container or anything, after a few years go ahead and bury someone else’s ashes in the same spot and either replace the headstone or figure out a way to stack em. Just have a running tally of names and dates for everyone buried in that plot.
Unfortunately land will fall into disrepair if someone doesn’t actually own it. They have no incentive to invest in its upkeep if it can just be taken away at any moment. There’s a reason rental buildings have a reputation for being unkempt, the renters don’t want to pay for the upkeep since it’s not theirs and the landlords don’t want to pay for the upkeep because they don’t live there.
It gets even worse if government owns it, it would take 6 months just to get a light bulb changed let alone a new roof or hedges trimmed.
I saw that post and it sort of made sense to me. Put the handle in the hole, stands upright. Another person comes along, rotates the torch to an angle and puts the handle of their torch in another hole to balance the weight of the two torches. Same with a third of needed, I think it could work if the device is big enough.
I was under the impression that the grates which don’t have a city name are older from a time before people realized that they can be stolen and sold for the value of the scrap metal.
Then municipalities started to stamp their name on it and metal recyclers couldn’t take them anymore unless you took it to a shady recycler so the value dropped.
It’s a lot easier to stop yourself from eating a bag of chips while watching YouTube if it’s not just sitting there in your pantry and you have to go to the store to buy it.
You just have to resist the urge to get the junk food during your grocery trips, not every hour you’re at home and bored.
It definitely made me wonder what the point of a tandem bike was to be included.
Then I thought it might have been funnier if the first rider was still on the bike while only the second rider hit the bridge, presumably because his view was blocked by the first rider who was able to see the bridge and duck in time to miss it.
I’ve seen condos where the Strata/HOA fee alone would have been around 25% of the monthly mortgage.
$400 / month strata on a $1600 / month condo. It’s practically thievery, no idea how maintaining and apartment is supposed to cost $4800 a year per person. Can’t remember how many unit but even assuming a low count of 10 units that’s $48,000 a year in maintenance. Seems pretty excessive.
Exactly. Especially since the only way to prove it would be digital, allowing for a digital paper trail to be collected on each person in an area of their lives that is typically very private.
Personally once you got to the Cos Sin Tan and Log part of math in grade 11 and 12 no amount of practice ever improved my understanding of the underlying principles. Once most of the work gets done in the calculator or computer I just lost sense of what was happening in the background. It’s just turned into put number in calculator and get answer. But that’s probably just a failing of the local school systems methods or the individual teachers maybe.
