Rolder,

Please, present your credentials mr professional ecologist

Lemmy, is there a treasured piece of content that you stop yourself from going back to "too often" so as to not dilute it?

I do this for a few things, movies in particular. For me most recently, I’m planning on watching Bo Burnham’s Inside this weekend, for the first time since I watched it shortly post-release. I wasn’t really intending to wait checks watch nearly 3 years on that one, but I definitely felt it needed some space before a...

Rolder,

Few dirty doujins that always get me going, but I try not to use them too often lest they lose their charm

Rolder,

The lower quality makes it funnier imo

Rolder,

Oregon/Washington getting all the educated medical personnel sounds like a great deal for them

What are some food items that cost less than what they "should"?

Bananas are ridiculously cheap even up here in Canada, and they aren’t grown anywhere near here. Yet a banana can grow, be harvested, be shipped, be stocked, and then be purchased by me for less than it’d cost to mail a letter across town. (Well, if I could buy a single banana maybe…or maybe that’s not the best...

Rolder,

Hold up. We exploit South America pretty hard too.

TachiyomiSY devs have announced to work on a new "spiritual successor" of Tachiyomi (ani.social)

This message has been posted on their discord server yesterday, currently the app is being worked on and has no definitive ETA. We probably have to use other forks until that. I don’t know whether I can share the discord server’s link so not sharing that until a mod gives heads up.

Rolder,

But is there a way to have it on iOS? Maybe a web app like wefwef/Voyager?

Rolder,

To be fair, even if I was letting an employee make their own decisions, I’d still want to know what they are doing even if I don’t plan on interfering

Rolder, (edited )

If it wasn’t for the supply shipments to Britain, they likely would have lost before things got close in the first place. Note it wasn’t just weapons but also food and medical supplies.

Edit: Also, the shipments were regularly attacked by German U-boats, so there absolutely was risk to American lives still.

Rolder,

In my mind the prices would go down if you don’t have big hedge funds and shit to compete with.

Rolder,

Doesn’t have to. Just need laws and stuff that say the owner of single family homes have to be single families (and not big corporations or landlords)

Rolder,

Would the kicks have much weight behind them considering they are dangling?

Rolder,

Over here with my preferred snack of apple and peanut butter. Guess an apple a day DOES keep the doctor away huh?

Rolder,

Don’t you worry, they would change their opinion on a dime of someone tried to prosecute Biden. We already know they don’t give a fuck about precedent.

Rolder,

I’ll go in a cave no problem but anything where I can’t turn or move freely is a big old nope. And if it seems unstable or whatnot I’m out of there.

Rolder,

You would think that a system needed only when shit is hitting the fan would be designed to work under extreme circumstances.

Rolder,

Something like 20 years ago, my dad made meatloaf and cooked ketchup into it, since we always coated it in ketchup anyway. Problem was it was that green colored ketchup that was popular then. The result: sickly green ass lookin meatloaf no one would touch.

I never let him forget about it.

Rolder,

That’s still 8 hours of sleep, seems fine to me.

Rolder,

I thought it was “Rust” and “furry”

Rolder,

My record is two weeks. Coincidentally, I go grocery shopping every 2 weeks

Rolder,

Not sure why Winnie the poo is marked as racism when it specifically refers to one person and has nothing to do with that persons race

Rolder,

Turns out we’re just the leftist equivalent to Truth Social

Rolder,

Source is hexbear, opinion ignored

Rolder,

I prefer Windows because I don’t need all the extra customization and in depth features, and I don’t want to bother setting them up. Like sure I could use commands to queue up file transfers, but I would never have the need and could get 99% of the way there with a drag and drop…

Rolder,

Can’t say I’ve ever had that problem myself. Then again I never move more then, say, 20-30 GB at once.
