Ubuntu is not Arch Linux. The 6 month release doesn’t give you the “the newest, best and most shiny versions of everything” in the first place.
If they don’t like change so much as to not being able to handle some minor UI updates, then their better off using a Chromebook lol.
You’d just be making it harder for them move from the outdated software in the long run, because literally everything changes between moving LTS from the 5y EOL period instead of gradually over each major normal 6 month releases.

The normal 6 month stable releases are perfectly fine. Infact they can be the better choice depending on hardware age.

You don’t even understand what Bot & NPC mean when you’re called it.

You watched the new Willy Wonka movie recently, didn’t you?

Brain rot is strong with this bot.
Self awareness is non-existent for this NPC.

specific instance’s version of a post

Actually, no. OP is just a Lemmy.world user so the post exists on Lemmy.world server despite being posted to lemmy.ml.
You’ll find that if your client is properly written, it’ll send you to the appropriate post on Lemmy.ml regardless.
For example here’s one of your posts :
lemmy.keychat.org/post/799992 which exists on lemmy.keychat.org despite being posted to lemmy.world. This is just how Lemmy’s federation works in it’s current state, your post isn’t being duplicated to the other servers but rather hyperlinked in way.
Unfortunately, my client prefers direct post links and not the indirect hyperlinks shared with the federated server.

Also, you have to link posts as Lemmy lacks any real unified coss-post functionality currently.

Work on your reading comprehension skills ◉‿◉

There’s a big difference between Working on vs is working. They’re Working on a full port, other than that you have preliminary access that’s not intended for casual users; only developers, tinkers/enthusiast & testers.

This design document is intended for Xfce developers to begin brainstorming ideas for future development. This is a work in progress and does not imply any future implementation commitments.

Should’ve been your first hint.

Exactly what I’m saying. It has nothing to do with his mental disorders, it’s purely social influence from the cybercriminal ring and egotism.
He desires to be seen as a legend and the members of Lapsus$ are no doubt going to be praising the hell out of him for pulling off something so audacious.

OP is making it out to be like he has psychopathy or ASPD or some shit, which is not a diagnosis that’s publicly known at this time even if that were the case. I’d rather not make massive generalizations of someone based on something that has 0 backing too.
The only disorder we know he’s diagnosed with is acute autism and nothing else, which just as you said :

It could be something as simple as needing to feel powerful in their space. That’s something a lot of people, autistic or not, can fall prey to

Which is exactly the point I’m making.

Like what? If it’s not something he’s publicly diagnosed with, then how do you know it’s not just main character syndrome? Remember, he’s not a solo act; he’s apart of Lapsus$ and there’s no doubt they helped create his twisted personality.

Right. Investment wise, it’s just like any other crypto; just fuckin don’t.
But technology wise it’s by far the best to use as an actual currency.

Exactly.

I haven’t had any issues.
But it’s not uncommon to a problem somewhere in the Bluetooth stack. It’s important you report any bugs you come across to the respective projects, because of how diverse Bluetooth devices are it’s hard to get perfect support for everything.

New to Linux, have a few questions

I currently use Windows 10 and I’d like to try out Linux. My plan is to set up a dual boot with OpenSUSE tumbleweed and KDE Plasma. I’ve read so many different opinions about choosing a distro, compatibility with gaming and Nvidia drivers, and personal issues with the ethos of different companies like Canonical. I value...

The home directory is like the Windows users directory, yes.
In the shell/terminal it’s represented by ~ or $HOME, it’s path is likely /home/$USER/
First / = Root
$USER = current user account you’re using.

You should check out this Arch Wiki page & this Arch man page.
Don’t worry it’s pretty distro agnostic.

Xfce does have a w-i-p porting effort to Wayland.

True, but at least development is steady for now. Maybe in a few years.
