Amazon is probably the worst of all of these. The only reason prime exists is to lock you into their store for all your purchases, when shipping orders should be a discrete charge for each shipment. At least the rest of these (except for Adobe and Nintendo, who suck about as hard) give you access to their infrastructure that lets you access the entirety of the product they offer instantly, whenever you have an internet connection.

I found this its the cheapest 10TB Exos drive on Newegg and looking to buy 4 of them. I will be putting them in my NAS that I use for my media library and pc backups. The price I’m posting this is $130, I’m also looking similar Exos drives that are $250 is there a difference? Should I shell up for the more expensive drives?

An option to remove unauthenticated access to the main feed would be a great fix for the first issue, and probably would be desirable on single user/invite only instances where the admins don’t want random people taking up server resources with the web interface

Tried kagi due to all the yapping here on lemmy, 99% of the results are exactly the same as ddg, no matter what their “x% unique kagi results” says, which just strikes me as dishonest. It’s also a nightmare if you want your config to work with both nix and non nix platforms. If I’m using my config on windows or at work, I’m not going to have nix and home manager to interpret the nix version of my vim config. On my systems with home manager, I’d like be able to install my nvim config as part of home manager rebuild. If I have home manager pull my configs git repo, it causes lazy to freak out whenever I try to update my plugins. It’d be nice to have some sort of integration with lazy that exists with cargo and similar tools but it doesn’t look like anyone’s been working on it.
