As I already said and started with: yes women can lie. So can anyone. I find it interesting It’s been repeated to you now. Once was not enough for you.
Because as a new generation we’re going to make a lot of mistakes, who knows if more or less than the past generations.
musk, Zuckerberg, Chesky, bezos are but a few who aren’t even boomers and have done probably far more destruction to society with their attainment of wealth.
We’re gonna see this current generation posting this usVSthem bullshit explain all that away to the future generation when their kids look into their online memes like this one about how ‘they knew better than boomers enough to criticize’
“Tell me about how you stood by Greta thunberg and didn’t just sit on your ass posting drivel on your iPhone while you rented Airbnb and got half your things off of Amazon. Did you vote in trump? Tell me how did he become president again?”
Part of me thinks this generation posting this generation meme drek is a poor attempt to quickly burry this giant steaming pile of poo.
I thought this was the default setting until the user goes in to edit preferences. It was doing that to me until I went in to stop it from flinging my profile at literally everyone.
You just described several of my relatives of the younger generation . Just cuz a person was born in the technical era does not make them a technical genius.
That’s about as logical and as loaded as an assumption as being fickle. It could also mean the person isn’t qualified and other employers figured that out. But again these are assumptions. In their shoes they are right to be wary and probably have some experiences backing up that caution.
although they aren’t antipodal of each other (at least now in current day) and Ayer’s rock is solid stone but still … yes…very suspect.
There is interesting theories about how certain mountains on the earth used to be formed to each other and as the earth separated there’s these slanting cliffs its like seeing a jigsaw puzzle pieces kinda scattered around. It’s one of my favorite theories to think about whenever I view slanting mountain cliffs
Yup I remember going through a phase where it was like “I don’t have time for this person’s jabber” and it would annoy me that they wouldn’t get to the point.
Meanwhile I could find all the time in the day to do meaningless things to take up my time like playing a game. Which is totally self serving.
Then I realized this was a me problem. Not a them problem.
I really hate who I was back then. Now some of my relatives do jabber on but it’s totally ok. I make space for that now cuz jabbering is part of relationships and that’s how some people communicate and listening is a part of healthy interaction.
After doing back breaking and expensive work cleaning a close relative’s house up after a hoarder rented with this exact attitude, you can fuck right off with it, mr koala.
Watching him Vs trans people is like watching MRA Vs feminism. Or conservative Vs PC. Scarecrowing privilege and playing victim over some mere inconveniences and uncomfortable truths.
What if your nature is in constant problem solving mode, my life and work revolve around solving problems so it’s a natural neurological pathway.
If that’s why you’re problem solving then your urge Problem solving is for you and about you . Not for them. If you’re making room for someone in your life that means letting things also be about them.
Should someone like that work overtime to suppress how they think about a situation, and stay quiet
Again: making it about you and how it’s inconvenient for you.
until they formulate some method of discussion and acknowledgement of the problem, without offering solutions?
Sometimes it is about them finding their voice. And at times it’s about letting them learn. It can be empowering for them to grow.
You might offer help when asked or when you know someone definitely is incapable. But let others have their space and their journey too especially if you know they are capable.
Problem solving is sometimes a problem in and of itself especially in situations of where it’s enabling or stifling others or stopping you from connecting to them.
Aboriginals we’re even denied a seat in politics just in the last few months. I remember being shocked they voted in Tony abbot …who for years screamed about women’s menstruation in parliament. Australia is super backwards.
Add to that the amount of headphones out there that do help with various ear issues is growing and the prices are not that heavy.
They have bone conduction ear phones now that can be picked up online. Your skull can hear for you now. This is the same technology as what hearing aids use and you can just wire it up as headphones to your phone now
It gets worse. People will go like “this shit is dull” blame the knife and won’t even consider it needs to be sharpened (or don’t want to) chuck it or give it away and BUY NEW knives like every 1-2 years not realizing these things could last decades. All because they think they are too lazy but the whole procedure is actually more work.
Then you have the group who just use dull knives forever and accept it because they think sharp knives are dangerous. And then not realize how much more dangerous that is to use a dull knife that will slip off of things more so than a sharp knife would.
Last time, I used: “Anybody need anything while I’m out?” and that went over well. May not make it through this surgery on Friday, so I turn to Lemmy for top-notch suggestions for my potential last words!
