Okay update: Piper does support my mouse. Which is good, because I can now config the profiles without windows. But also sad, because I’m still having my scroll wheel problem. I’ll say it briefly maybe you know something about it. My mouse send hight res and normal scroll ups and downs inconsistently. When I scroll wirelessly it sends 5 hi res events, which get’s turned into a normal one, so it sends both. the 5 events is inconsistent, so sometimes I don’t even scroll. What apps use is inconsistent, so sometimes i scroll 5 times instead of 1, or even worse when apps wait for the 5 hi res next to each other, meaning it doesn’t even scroll sometimes. But all of this is gone when I plug in. When wired my mouse only sends “normal” scroll events and everything works perfectly. I got the leads: ([1], [2], [3], [4]) (I have to admit, I haven’t read all of these, at one point they just turned into technical gibberish for me)
bullshit doesn’t end here. There’s a $1k monitor stand, that needs a $200 extension to be vesa compatible, and is no better then some free stands that u get with (dare I say) normal monitors.
I have been distro hopping for about 2 weeks now, there’s always something that doesn’t work. I thought I would stick with Debian and now I haven’t been able to make my printer work in it, I think I tried in another distro and it just worked out of the box, but there’s always something that’s broken in every distro....
does night light actually work? I used them for a while, turned it off for color and I didn’t notice a difference. Isn’t it just placibo or just very minimal effect?
I'm still kinda new to Linux (started using this year 😅) I already made it to my main OS, even if I still missing some things which I used on Windows, anyway. What I wanted to ask you guys, what recommendations do you have for Linux Mint (Cinnamon)? In terms of security, optimization, (a way to make the UI looking modern ;-;) and privacy? I would be very interested in what you do guys to optimize your Linux setup :) I'm pretty technical, so there is nothing which could overwhelm me (probaly).
a funny thing that I’d like to add, is that pirate streaming sites don’t have this limitation. You just open a website, write in a name, and play in on any platform, with good enough quality, free from all streaming services. Piracy is just too good to be true.
Hello all, I’ve only used lemmy on mobile so far there has been a million and one posts about apps for lemmy for mobile. My plan was to lurk and read something about pc lemmy, and set it up, but I haven’t found any. What can I use on desktop to browse lemmy?...
Please put an NSFW tag on this. I was on the train and when I saw this I had to start furiously masturbating. Everyone else gave me strange looks and were saying things like “what the fuck” and “call the police”. I dropped my phone and everyone around me saw this image. Now there is a whole train of men masturbating together at this one image. This is all your fault, you could have prevented this if you had just tagged this post NSFW.
You have heard the story “I have moved to Linux (arch btw).”, well… this is also my story. Anyways I have problems with my headset’s virtual surround. I realized that almost all of the drivers are just simply not working on Linux, but also that there are a bunch of alternatives. I have a HyperX cloud 2 (it was cheap),...
step 4 didn’t happen. AKA it works now. I have a guess as of why a random app wouldn’t be running. And it makes sense that closing would clear it, as screenshotting opens a fullscreen app. But I don’t get it, how can closing an application delete my clipboard?

I'm so frustrated rn.

I just started noticing it like half an hour ago. I’m fairly new to this OS, so I have no idea where to look for any logs or anything....
