When was Times Square rejuvenated? Was it during his watch?
I had read at some point after WW2 Times Sqaure slipped into seedy and run down with building owners on the brink of bankruptcy before efforts were made to reclaim the area from the places that were not desirable.
I would too. I would love to see this spin on the old westerns where the settlers are pushing further into Indian country and instead of the Indians being the badies as they defend the territory, the settlers are portrayed as the invaders, and they are turned back to return to Europe like the Vikings did before 600 years before them.
Oddly I’m learning the Trump crowd really wants to employ these tactics today with glee against all those that won’t shut up about everything they don’t like.
I went to Columbus a few years ago and I was surprised how every restaurant I went no matter if it was a hole in the wall or a fine dining establishment they all had a version of Mac and Cheese on their menu.
From a simple version to versions with lobster I tried them all. Years later when I was in Montreal I noticed a similar theme where they all offer their version of Poutine.
I couldn’t imagine if KD made Poutine it would taste anywhere near what I ate in Montreal just as regular KD was nothing like the stuff I ate in Columbus that week.
Jerboa has been upgraded since the summer. There was some stuff with swipe navigation which was an issue for my use case but I think that’s been changed along with many other things now. It should be my daily driver now over Sync but muscle memory so far is keeping it from not being yet.
So far I think it depends on the app. I mostly use Sync which I suspect looks at Lemmy from a Reddit functionality point of view. As I recall you can’t edit post titles so I suspect the app doesn’t even include the option or it’s a paid feature.
When I use Jerboa there’s more options like editing post titles, and seeing the various up and down vote counts plus the total for posts/comments. In Sync it’s just the total of the upvotes/downvotes. I’m sure there’s more differences but these are the big ones I’ve seen so far.
All good. When I said initial science I meant what you said with the studies not really seeing a rise due to milk.
I was taking a jab at those that yell fake news to anything they don’t like and they did their own research so I can’t do the same when there is science saying hey that’s probably not the case with the milk.
Thanks for pointing it out. I hadn’t seen those studies before.
That’s an interesting read (after Googling) , especially the studies. I would love to be one of those types that says “Fake News” to anything I don’t like, but the initial science seems to be there.
