You ever see a dog that’s got its leash tangled the long way round a table leg, and it just cannot grasp what the problem is or how to fix it? It can see all the components laid out in front of it, but it’s never going to make the connection....
Heavy groceries do not go on top of eggs, fruit, etc. Cold groceries together. Dry groceries together. If there’s a bunch of bags inside of a bag, use those before the bag that’s holding the other bags.
Wtf, Publix baggers? I get you don’t get paid 6-digit salaries, but this is not heart surgery.
Life is still like that, except we need our dopamine drip. People do crazy shit and post videos. So, we use TikTok, YouTube, and whatever else. They are the highlight of that 30 seconds.
I personally enjoy the Half Asleep Chris videos 9n YouTube where he buys a crazy amount of one set or a crazy number of sets and puts them all together. He has 10 rollercoaster sets and put them together as one. He has 10 castle sets and put them (along with a few thousand other related bricks) together to make a giant castle. Plus, he is quirky and fun, seemingly writes all the music on his videos, and includes his cats in most videos (or the cats include themselves).
I’m guessing they were explaining, not advocating. Most people would agree with you that there’s another option. Some people are resistant to that, unfortunately, including people I know.
Luckily for me, I already love my earpods. So, I’ll be covered when my hearing starts to go.
I bring a satchel with me when I leave the house. I leave it in the car 99% of the time, but it has my sunglasses, sanitizer, umbrella, etc. in it. So, it’s helpful to bring along. I toss my keys in it and whatever the important thing is. If the important this is too big, I wrap the strap of the satchel around the thing or wind the strap around some part of it. I still forget things sometimes, but this has helped me significantly.
Sure, they’re human and humans make mistakes. It doesn’t mean I (or my husband and kids, in the case of OP) have to be there while you work them out. Work them out and try again in a few years. More likely than not, staying will just enable them and they won’t be motivated to fix the issue.
Life is hard. Parenting is hard. Being in a relationship is hard. Why would OP add an extra layer to that by having to worry when they’re going to demonstrate their shitty racist beliefs in front of the people she loves?
