Medicine and not taking anything as the will of god you should just accept, this and perception of death. That direct war, colonies are necessary - because now soft power, investments, influence, proxies are seen as more effective and better for business. That raw physical fitness means an easy superiority - and not a gun. Slavery and serfdom took other forms, so are associated stereotypes. Talking while seemingly alone is, arguably, not a solid sign of a mental illness now. First paleness became no longer a wanted trait, then we learnt that sun tan can be bad too. Putting fire to a field or a property isn’t a good idea like it was before. Natural resources are free, limitless and harvested with no consequencies. Finding a stash of gold isn’t that tempting too. Mass production, services kind off changed the amount of skills one needs in an average household and added complexity to it. Knowledge of how to get a clean water noticeably changed our ways. And perception of sex and family in different cultures drastically changed over time due to religion, law and science.

I thought about a lot of variants, but I stopped at a gas can, a simple device to make the gas out and a basic tripod to weight a pot over it. If they have it, they can boil water for tea or just clean water, food bought in bulk in a grocery store, to wash themselves.

It greatly depends on what they have for now. Maybe a tent is in more priority if they don’t have one, or even something to lay on.

I watched it like 7 times and wish you have a great time with it.

Coming from an oil-rich region I passed these soviet oil-pumps looking like hammers, coming up and down, up and down in any weather. They left me curious what’s that all about and I almost ended in that industry, but got something else on my radar.

I came to appreciate how good Eli at being a competition to Daniel here. The first time I saw this movie, the ending seemingly came from out of nowhere. But now I see and like how both of them represent different ideas. Eli is the old, conservative America, and Daniel is the new one, the face of the industrial revolution.

After watching it another time with my friend, I woundered, where it all came from. It seems, he escapes any question about his past, but he feels pretty connected to that blonde girl (his son’s future wife), that’s said to be beaten by father. Maybe it’s a little clue he’s too a victim of violence at home. Him them digging the earth alone and then dragging himself across the desert with a broken leg seems like a logical conclusion to that. He needs to be perfect, otherwise he’d be beaten hard. And so he goes for that, and hate, suspect everyone who is not as tryhard as he. The end scene speaks a lot of his hatred to himself. He’s alone in his mansion, and he sees himself both a rich guy and a piece of shit. That leads to being a fucking asshole to his son who has a slight possibility to even compete with him, it leads to a conflict with Eli. He hates this always happy dude. He hates the hell of him. He wanted him to suffer for so long time, but at one instance needed him to get an oil transit, and received these silly slaps. And he remembered that, and brought his hatred tenfold. He couldn’t forget this embarassment to his ego, and he punished him as he wanted. He first made him destruct his faith, and then make it physical. He couldn’t, in his depressive condition, see his happy preaching face anymore. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d eat a bullet right after that for all that hatred collected in him.

You caught me without pants as I just left one desktop for another and lost my collection I torrented from rutracker (most of it is abandoned anyway). I remember Goetrik and Fenix being a funny series of books, and from the lore books something called Black Library (?) published great in-world books, including a very cool medievally stylized manual for inquisitors.

I think the most important point of such preparations is scrolling through kitsch art albums for these idiots have a negative value of taste. I imagine myself with a makeshift nailgun and a molotov observing another room and just losing my mind who the fuck could even want that shit in the first place. That leaves me pretty vulnerable and my revolt doomed.

The phone number is the best way to ID user across different sources of data. Facebook created datapoints for those who aren’t even on Facebook, but are in some users’ phonebooks. In my country you get a SIM-card only with your documents, so alphabet agencies have an even better idea who are you on the web.

It’s all just scam that pushed without any conaideration for our convinience.

Thank you for writing that. I felt like credit card taught me to be a little irresponsible with cash (even though I payed for everything from debit straight away - I thought this two-step payment would better my score and limit for the future, lol), so I blocked it, but from that angle it really makes sense to have one in case of emergencies.

Paying for three dentals in a row can be only topped by the constant dental pain itself. If you budget didn’t crumble under that weight, with your situation, you are a tugboat called Unsinkable (or even Unthinkable?). I’m not joking, I can’t imagine it now, even though I’m housed and have some people I can loan from. It’s just too much.

Why’s that much discipline and intellect is needed to stay alive while poor? Stereotypes paints poor people as lazy and stupid. Is there a special program I can apply to and stop caring at all? Doubt so ):

One of the morbid things I learnt about late hitler’s family is that his closest male relatives chose not to procreate any further, not only for sharing this mark themselves, but also not wanting their kids to share it too. One can imagine what bullying could happen to a kid who bear resemblence to that guy in a post-war Germany that lost a generation to warfare and is undergoing heavy deprogramming, remorse and regret. Beating them could be thought of like hitting the long-dead Adolf by proxy for not so smart and impulsive teenagers, who probably had dads, uncles dead in the trenches for some stupid ideals proved wrong. Imagining if I could’ve born into this, the most thankful I could’ve possibly became to another human being could be for my parents to change countries, surnames and cut any connection leading to the famous austrian painter and genocide enthusiast.

I don’t think Trump’s kids would get the same treatment from peers, but from what I’ve occasionaly heard about Trump’s own childhood, their home itself could be a disasterous wreck. On the bright side, they’d probably have all the money in the world for a qualified therapy. How many dollars you can fit in the hole in your body to make it stop leaking blood? A superyacht and a half is my closest guess.

how do i efficiently attach audio to an image

hi all, ive tried using shotcut and kdenlive but the outputted file ends up being huge. i have a single image and want to put audio on top (releasing a song) but these programs end up making video files where they render the same image on each frame and the files end up being huge. what is the best way to achieve my use case of...

Can you intentionally set various bitrate (VBR) with a big difference, like from 16mbps max to 1mbps min? Constant bitrate can be your problem. Premiere had this on media export menu, I can’t remember where others have this. And, if you want to upload it to youtube, see what size it has on a private upload by downloading it - they reencode every video themselves to their uniform standard, so maybe you don’t even need to bother with that.
