asteriskeverything,

CiA agents carefully and selectively misinforming the public on small details trickled in to manipulate public and congress opinion.

Then Kool Aid man comes in and makes it a team sport and suddenly the truth doesn’t matter to the public anymore. In fact it probably never did.

asteriskeverything,

Men getting credit for women’s accomplishments is the plot of barbie? I thought it was about how expectations and rules for gender identity and roles hurts everyone. That then expands on how women specifically feel a unique pressure to be an impossible ideal of everything all at once.

asteriskeverything,

Not 10 frameworks (each used for one function), dozens of mb of graphics,

Have you seen the old internet?! It would have been even more gifs, music players, and oh the flash websites! Haha I know that’s really not your point but this jumped out at me and made me chuckle.

asteriskeverything,

This is true.

What I also gathered from the article (for further context) is that these are the same lawyers who tried to the other 2 cases of piracy on reddit. This time the argument is that it is not a violation of the first amendment right because they want the data to go after the ISP

asteriskeverything,

I’m pushing 40 and I have seen all in the family episodes and recognize the theme song! I was too young to get any context though now I want to watch it!

Boomers suck yadda yadda but the silent generation was also a big voting block! And also raised those assholes. Sorry, tangent.

asteriskeverything,

It’s wild to me how America, UK, and Canada are dealing with these idiotic right wing extremists or fans. It did not go well in the states, is still not going well, but people in other countries are all agreeing that yeah now is the time to be loud, racist, shitholes who make life worse for everyone with their stupidity??? What the fuuuck

It’s actually one of those things that varies for each person, how extreme they are with vegetarian. They might avoid anything that contains geletain including gummies or certain medications because it requires an animal byproduct to make.

Eggs and dairy are not part of an animal carcass. You don’t have to kill an animal to enjoy it.

Vegans believe using animals for any food (or maybe even product) is wrong so they avoid eggs, milk, dairy, etc. Or maybe it’s they are vegan in that they only eat eggs or whatever from their own free range chickens. Some vegans won’t get vaccines if they contain egg protein.

Basically often both diets are often moral choices so there can be as much variety to how restrictive or serious it is just like any human will have variety in their morals details even if there is overlap on general idea (ffs just look at Christianity)

And oh there are people who are vegetarian just because they don’t like the taste or texture of meat!

Sorry for the ramble I found this really interesting when I became friends with people who have different diets. It’s interesting how much variety they can have.

asteriskeverything,

Idk how we got from saving private Ryan to Alex Jones but I enjoyed the ride. Seriously though, thanks for the necessary context and details!

asteriskeverything,

I’m not surprised, I got the vibe this is something you feel very passionate about that the tangents just come naturally at this point. Maybe I’m projecting cuz that’s where I’m at haha.

This package of bagels I bought expired on a date that doesn't exist. (i.imgur.com)

I originally posted this on the other site back when I took the picture, and it resulted in a lot of confused comments, especially from Americans, eventually getting removed by overzealous mods. Either way, I promise you that this date does not exist, and has never existed.

asteriskeverything,

Or they got the year wrong unless you bought extremely expired bread or the much less plausible answer, this is an old picture.

asteriskeverything,

That’s actually my brother’s age range. And yeah I guess I was so drawn to this because it’s potential for a common interest and shared experience! But I think based on all this it would be best if I played it first and wait until next year to consider it as a gift when I have full context of adult themes.

But damn I gotta say the responses to this post are all so wonderful and it just makes me want to play this game even more because the community is so helpful!

asteriskeverything,

Gotta have a cheesy Christmas movie you can make fun of in the background

asteriskeverything, (edited )

What if I need multiple trips? :(

asteriskeverything, (edited )

I thought this exchange was sarcastic but then I scrolled up and oh…

lol I never would have guessed

asteriskeverything,

Wouldn’t using that pre shredded stuff not be good for recipes though because of the added anti-clumpimg agents though?

asteriskeverything,

I’ve made obscene amounts of frozen Mac and cheese and that’s it. Thank you!

asteriskeverything,

Lmao oh yeah hahah now I remember it XD

asteriskeverything, (edited )

We don’t have time for your full scale reality. The luxury is gone to shop for quality. It is all a sacrifice of illusion now.

asteriskeverything,

It is called sleep hygiene and there are many different aspects and rules to this that you can cater to your preference. For example I do use a screen in bed but I have an extreme blue screen filter and also block social media apps- I just listen to stuff or maybe read.
