I have a 3b+ I want to try this with, it has double the ram and also Ethernet connection vs the 3a+. Do you see yours hit ram limit or you think the delay could be wifi related?

I ripped out the control board of the 2x bay toaster and then bought some sata extension cables (with power) for 2x HDDs. 3D printed a little drive bay type thing and then slapped the raspi on top with the usb controller. It works great!

Works for my usecase of basic NAS /SMB /SFTP and I can stream 1080p etc.

But would look to sata in the future also like you mention, couldn’t find a hat, but USB speeds are fine for me.

Oh I didn’t think mcr.microsoft provided Linux base, ok good to know.

I’ve reviewed a few PRs with that in the dockerfile and thought it was always windows based, good to know!

Terraform talks to “clouds”, where as Ansible talks to devices. Whilst clouds do have many devices, I feel like Ansible has a greater ability to absorb likeness/distinctiveness (ships), over a greater scale than terraform.

Just use wire guard, which is the backbone of tailscale.

Tailscale could rug pull one day or start charging.

Sounds like OP could handle wire guard setup.

I’m stuck on Windows at work, and I have a terminal open on my work PC 100% of the time for tasks, questions and formatting duties (format list, reorder etc) so maybe this could be OK.

Wording is confusing however, as Github is what I think when i hear “copilot”, but I do know both are owned by M$.

I’m not for the extra key, I use a custom ortho split anyway, but I’m guessing it’s just the “windows key” again with hype…

What concept is so foreign on mint or ubuntu that it would need explanation?

My parents didn’t notice a difference (early 60s). Firefox, Spotify, and vlc, done.

How is your zigbee2mqtt running? Via HA or standalone?

You can click elements from NodeRed, so it means the HA connection to node-red is broken it sounds.

  • Try updating HA nodes inside nodeRed.
  • Make sure that your mqtt server has no errors

The idea is less bugs due to stricter rules when developing and compiling. You can understand that.

Then, also more access to build tools and high level programming without changing languages.

If you have no need for that, then just know others do and it’s a great thing.

Will take you to the most used directory starting with “direc” eg “/home/me/random/directory”

The dir’s are the same names or similar? A few extra key strokes to get the fullname should be easier than cd’ing back and forth.

There’s also z foo “space” “tab” as per docs to get interactive list for matches.

But, just a suggestion!
